    Week 2 - Dolphins (61) @ Vikings (54)

Ok this game was insane. Great Game Tank. Many times I thought I was pulling away and tank would jump right back in. I guess i'll let the stat chart and gamescores speak for themselves. QBs and receivers had a great day. As did the RBs.

Phins led early and big. 21-0 run by the vikings in early 3rd Q, due to two consecutive fumbles by the phins on the 1st play of two drives led to this. This was a major turning pont as the phins were up 33-13. Vikings would take the lead 34-33 and it would go back and forth until the end. The Phins would pull away late with a 13 point led but see it diminish quickly as the Vikings would miss an XP but tie the game with a Farve TD run from 9 yards and an 81 yard run from AP on the next offensive play. Miami would have the last score of the game with the first play being an 86 yard pass from Henne to Marshall with about 2 minutes left. Vikings would charge downfield but Shankhoe would make a catch, break a couple tackles and lose the football.

    First Quarter

    (MIN) P.Harvin 81 Yd pass from B.Favre(R.Longwell kick), 7:41

Unbelievable scoring summary and stats. EA must be giving a really shitty effort in "Keeping it Real". I wish I could score like you guys.

I suddenly feel really happy to have held Mustang to a mere 32 points in week 1, lol.

Once harvin turns upfield on a slant its just ridiculous. You can't catch him.

Starting to think we should wait for the patch. This is no offense to u guys at all, but wow over 100 pts combined? EA really dropped the ball on this one. NCAA kills Madden in gameplay this year. With that said, I do not want to play either of you after this score feast. Ha

For 20 years I have been able to play pretty good defense regardless of the competition. Now all of the sudden I can't stop anyone.

I can sum up my feelings for Madden 11 with this - Love the OMFL! Indifferent or just flat out dislike most everything else.

They've dumbed down Madden so much to make it more accessable to the masses, and in the process have neglected the guys like us who have been playing the game for 20 years.

Dont like the hit stick this year, don't like the autosprint.

All that said - was still a fun game (in an arcadey kind of way)! Stang has a great offense and MArshall is a beast!!!

I dont think most games are like this nor will be. Just a freak game IMO, though i do see a lot of 40-37 point games coming.

This game is a prime example of what keeps us from staying 100% sim. I know there are a few loopholes in the game, but how the hell do you score combined 115 points?

    That's just insane.

Good luck scoring that much next week man. I'll bring you back to a realistic game, no doubt.

i dont think there was anything non sim though, most runs were huge and so were the catches. i'd be lucky to ever score that again.

Well down 2 or 3 defensive starters is one way to give up 61 points.

Broken and shoddy tackling is another.

I'd say it was SIM playcalling and gamestyle - just par for the course for me in Madden11.

Ya, I think thats a unfair judgement call against a lot of pretty sim good owners. If this happens every week then we may have something to look at. This update is coming here any moment and will hopefully fix some major issues.

AFC East rivalries are forming. Round 1 goes to the Jets.

Yea, I really worded that poorly. Sorry guys.

What I meant was that right now we are playing a game that I feel wasn't ready for OMFL. The issues that it presents in front of us are making for some really high scoring games. Everyone know I love a good defensive battle and lower scoring games, its just my style. I wasn't meaning to down Mustang and Tank. I've played both of them.....Stang and I have a fun rivalry going, and I have been on record after my game with Tank saying he was one of the most enjoyable games I have ever played.

I just think the way the stats are being recorded are insane, and can mostly be attributed to the fact that we sorely need a patch. The way it is going right now, it is not sim at all.

I meant nothing personal against either of you guys. My apologies, I did make that sound really bad.

P.S. - Stang, how does it feel to be taken back down to earth?
