The matchup most NFL fans have waited on took place Sunday in New Orleans. It had been 2 years since the Colts and Saints met. The Saints coming off a loss in week one were dangerous and hungry to get the first win of the season. And the Colts had revenge on there minds coming off there super bowl victory from last year they still had a sour taste in there mouth from 2 yrs ago when the Saints handled them in Miami.

When interviewed 30 minutes before the game both guys were asked how things went in preparation for this game.

Drew Brees "We took a hard loss last week to the Bears...We had a great week of practice and our hungry to get out there."

Peyton Manning "The new guys have great work ethics and have fit in nicely. We had a workman like approach this week in practice"

    First Quarter

The Saints received the kickoff. After back to back turnovers The Saints capped off there drive with a 6 yard Brees run making it 7-0 early. Answering back the Colts answered with a 41 yard strike to Smith to not it at 7-7.

    Second Quarter

After a hold the Colts took it the length of the field for 6 taking a 14-7 lead on a Olson touchdown reception. On the initial kickoff Bush did what he does best make a phenominal athletic play housing the kickoff 87 yards to tie it 14-14. The next posession the Colts lead by Russel marched down for a touchdown making this a shootout and one heck of a game to watch.21-14 Colts. After a late pick in the half the Colts put another in the endzone some how.At halftime the score was 28-14

    Third Quarter

A very defensive quarter ended with little scoring. The Colts added 3 with a field goal and the Saints a strike to Shockey making it 31-21.What was looking like a shootout has calmed down into a tight game.

    Fourth Quarter

Both scores came later in the quarter as the defenses held strong with each team swapping touchdowns.Drew Bees had another touchdown run and Jones finished off the Colts drive.

    Final Score
