Jets defense shows up big to earn 20-7 division win and move to 2-0

The New York Jets were able to get revenge in Buffalo after last season's opening day loss at Ralph Wilson Stadium. NY's defense would be the big story of the game frustrating new Bills' QB Eli Manning and not allowing any points. The sole Buffalo points would come on an 80 yard punt return touchdown by C.J. Spiller. The Jets' defense would sack Manning twice, pick him off three times, and forced a QB rating of 38.7.

Jets' QB Steven Hardin added a solid performance of his own completing 12-19 for 172 yards, a touchdown, and no turnovers. Newly-extended star WR Calvin Johnson would catch five of Hardin's passes for 78 yards and the lone passing touchdown.

The Jets were able to win the always critical turnover battle 5-0.
