After coming up short in their week 1 game vs the Browns, the Cowboys faced another tough opponent, their NFC East rival Redskins. Both teams came out firing with Dallas drawing first blood on their very first possesion, with Romo finding his buddy Witten for 19yd TD. But RGIII would deliver a TD of his own, connecting with his TE, F. Davis, for an 18yd TD and a tie score.

The 2nd quarter would provide some more fireworks with Washington settling for a 28yd FG after going for it and converting earlier in the drive on a 4th and 1. Dallas responded with a long TD to Dez Bryant who had the defender all over him but, Dez was able to make the play. On the ensuing kickoff, Washington would strike back with a 103yd KO return by B. Banks for a 17-14 lead. That, however, would be all the Redskins would muster.

The Dallas defense harassed RGIII throughout the 2nd half, registering 3 turnovers and 4 sacks while also forcing a few bad throws. Dallas now prepares to face the Carolina Panthers.
