Glendale Arizona- The Cardinals came out on top of a tough fought battle with their divisional rival, Saint Louis Rams, to improve to 1-1 on the year. Beanie Wells was unstoppable running for 122 yards and 2 TD's. Michael Vick improved on his performance from last week throwing for 262 yards and 2 TD's. The Cardinal defense came up big holding Steven Jackson to just 85 yards rushing. They didn't have the same luck with Sam Bradford's air attack allowing 237 yards and 3 TD's. The Rams offense had no trouble coming up with big time passing plays for big yards on the Cardinals D. Turnovers were the difference in this one. The Cardinals won the turnover battle 2-0. A Steven Jackson fumble and Sam Bradford INT both lead to points for the Cardinals and ended up being the difference in the game. Larry Fitzgerald and TE Ed Dickson both had big games and both had TD receptions including Ed Dickson's TD reception late to seal the victory for Arizona. A play Dickson broke his wrist on and is expected to be out 3-4 weeks, a huge loss for the Cardinals as he has been a favorite target of Michael Vick.
