After a tough loss last week the Rams got back on track this week and did it with some bigtime defense! We started out the game hot getting a fg an int, another fg another int...but then a missed fg kept the Steelers in it in the first quarter even though we could have been dominating. And the Steelers took advantage:
Mendenhall went right up the gut and went 78 yards for a score and the 7-6 lead early in the 2nd quarter. That was about when the Steelers good fortunes would end as Roethlisberger and Dixon combined for SEVEN interceptions two of which were returned for TD's on the next two drives giving the rams the lead back and the Rams raced out to a 27-7 lead halfway through the 3rd quarter.
We then played ball control offense as we turned off the jets and ended with a 27-10 win in pittsburgh.
The game wasn't without consequence though, as we lost our best WR Avery for 3 weeks and our SS James Butler for 2 weeks with an upper arm fracture...it also will be seen how effective that he can be in the secondary with a cast in place in 2 weeks...
we now turn our sights to the Brownies who are led by the RB duo of Harrison and Wells -- should be a great battle of 1-1 teams
