The early season defensive woes continue for the Buckeyes as they drop a 34-31 decision to Oregon. The switch to the 3-4 is not going well.

Another week, another shootout for the Tigers. Beat Ariz St 45-42 with a touchdown drive in the game's final minute. Once again there were more than 1,000 combined yards of total yardage. On the bright side, we didn't turn it over while forcing a fumble at the goaline that won us the game, and the defense got a couple of stops in the second half.

Sophomore Superstar running back Terrance Gilmore leads the #3 LSU Tigers over the #14 West Virginia Mountaineers 38-7. Gilmore racked up over 150 yards of total offense and scored 3 total touchdowns. The Tiger defense was impressive as well, shutting the Mountaineers down until the last minute of the game, when they were able to score a touchdown on their 3rd attempt from the 1 yard line against LSU's back-up defense.

in a complete shootout, Notre Dame defeats Michigan 34-31!

    South Bend, Ind.
in a game with 944 combined yrds by both teams both passing and running, Michigan just wore out at the end. after the wolverines forced a fumble with 1:11 to go in the 4th. Forcier threw for 330 yrds and 2 t.d's. and 1 costly int. he threw that under a minute in the 4th. and all notre dame had to do was kneel on the ball to run out the clock. Crist was 20-25 for 358 and 3 t.d's. Gray had 154 yrds rushing and 1 t.d. for N.D.
and evans stole the show with 171 recieving yards and 2 t.d's. for michigan. Shaw was the top rusher with 87 yrds rushing and 1 t.d. and fb Hobbs also scored he finished with 14 yrds. and Stonum led the Wolverines receiving with 164 yrds and 1 t.d. (came very close to the record). Hemingway also had 63 yrds and 1 t.d.

after splitting the 1st 2 games Coach Grad hopes for improvement. "all we can do is improve. right now i'm still undecided if the 4-3 defense is for us. but we'll see. i know offensely we have to get better with our blocking schemes." when asked how he'll approach LSU next week he said "it will be a great game no matter who wins".

    Virginia - 13
    Florida State - 34

(AP) Tallahassee, FL - The Noles stifling defense and the running of Heisman hopeful Jermaine Thomas carried the Seminoles past Virginia 34-13. After a close 1st half where Florida State was only up 10-0 after dominating the 1st half Jermaine Thomas would take the 1st play of the 2nd half 67 yards for his 2nd TD of the game. EJ Manuel would add to that as he hit 7 different recievers on the day for 244 yards and 2 TD's. The Defense had a huge day as well as Senior Captain Craig Yarborough had 3 Sacks, 7 TFL, and a forced fumble as the Noles cruise.

Up next for Florida State is another ACC rival as the Noles will go on the road to face Boston College.

Florida's offense starts off the season on fire putting up , the only problem was so was Boise St's offense. Florida would win a shoot out 56-35 despite Robo QB K. Moore passing for 453 yds, 4 TD's but 2 costly INT's that would be the difference. Florida was lead by Jeffrey Demps as he rushed for 239 yds and 3 TD's while Heisman candidate Josh Brantley threw for 253 yds and 3 TD's.
