Alabama come into Utah and was Alabama like
I had chances. With 5:38 to go it was still a 17-7 game and I was in FG range when i made the mistake of waiting too long and the safety jumped my route. User error
Then after stopping them and getting it back with 2:34 to go, I had a 4th down play where I drew the defense offsides and got a free play, my TE was the ONLY player downfield and i immediately lofted it up and i think he must have thought Devin Hester was running the route cause I had no chance. Easily would have scored and made it a 3 Pt game. Instead i failed
Next drive was a quick one for Bama on a 31 yard TD run to go up 24-7
After Lucky Radley is out for the next 8 weeks, in comes Newton (a recruit i brought in FOR kick returning) to return kicks and goes BOOM! 99 yards
failed onside, quick stop, 53 yd FG good: 27-14
Back comes Newton, BOOM! 101 yards! 27-21
bad onside kick and i had no TOs to get the ball back in the final minute

total lopsided game filled with huge plays for Bama

AJ McCarron's season is over but he went 10/11 for 179 yards
Dee Hart ran 31 times for 158 yards and his backup went 9 for 56 with a TD each
Cox went 11/25 for 114 yards and 2 INT for me
Palamo went for 18 yards on 10 carries with a TD

373 yards of offense to 113
the Score could have been more lopsided but Bama had 1st and goal from the 2 TWICE in the first quarter and managed just 3 pts out of the 2 drives.

Look for Newton to be my new Randy Moss this year in the KR game

    Arkansas - 54
    Washington - 42

Wow, the CPU kicked my ASS in this game. I didn't lose a CPU game last season, but they made up for it this season. I had to start throwing the ball deep every play in the third quarter to catch up. I was down 31-3 I think at one point in the third. Running or passing, it didn't matter. I couldn't stop anything. I hope this is not a sign of things to come.

My pass offense is AWFUL. I spent this game trying to get SOMETHING going after tossing 3 picks with my starting QB in 2 quarters last week, and it was simply more of the same with 2 more picks in the first half. Didn't break 100 yards passing for the second week in a row.

About to post something to try and ask for some passing tips. Cal improves to 2-0, no thanks to the air attack.

We'll be advancing within the hour.

    Colorado 31
    Fresno St. 7

Colorado starts the new season off with a new coaching staff with a win at home. It was a slow start for Tony Jones, but once he got going, there was no stopping him. Colorado proved that they will stick with the run, no matter what, and believe in their game plan. They were down 7-3 at one point, and just kept the ball on the ground with an occasional pass, and it eventually paid off. The 7 points Fresno St. scored was off a perfectly executed wildcat run. Nick Hirschman was the perfect game manager going 7-13 for 121 yards, and Tony Jones ended up with 18 carries for 121 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Colorado defense had 3 interceptions on the day, returning one for a touchdown. This was a great way to start the season for the Buffaloes. They will go into conference play next week as they travel to Utah.

OSU dominated Hawaii all game. RB Jackson was back after being knocked out week 1 with concussion. There is no doubt about it that Jackson is the rock of this team. With a true freshman at QB, OSU needs to rely on their backs to keep their offense in manageable downs and to avoid three and outs. OSU defense play solid all game. I am glad I went away from the multiple D and moved to 3-4 D.
