    Week 2: Steelers(35) vs. Titans(44)

Titans Win But At What Cost???
CJ went down early in the first half with an abdominal tear, expected to only be out 2 weeks.

The Tennessee titans hosted the Pittsburgh steelers in week 2 of the inaugural OMFL 11 season in Nashville as big crowds formed to root on the home town team. The both the titans and the steelers looked to settle in for the season and start producing some wins after both went winless in the first week. CJ didnt show up as expected with only 62 yds rushing but helped with 111 yds receiving and coach ox and CJ looked to turn things around with a monster day.

The Steelers won the toss and deferred so the titans go the ball first, it didnt take long with a couple nice runs by CJ and big passes by VY culminated in a 3 yd TD pass to TE Scaife to get on the board first 7-0. The titans defense showed up again but this time, VY got hit on the throw to the wide open WR and it was house called by on the interception to DE Smith to even the score at 7. On the next titan possession, after a strained ab had CJ on the bench when madden asked if i wanted to put him back in with a high injury probability, coach ox said no but three plays later CJ was back at HB only to get crushed and tear his abdominal. Coach ox and the titans got lucky as CJ will be back at 100% barring no setback in 2 weeks. Both teams got a rushing TD to end the quarter at 14-13 titans as the steelers missed an AM XP.

Mendenhall was beasting and got the first score in the second quarter to put the steelers up 6 early but the titans werent down and out after an CJ injury. On the kickoff, Tye hill took the kickoff 102 yds to go back up by a point. With all the momentum with the titans, the steelers got the ball and on the first play of the drive, Big ben threw one of 3 picks to Titans FS Mike Griffen on a tip ball who house called it and gave the titans a 8 point lead midway though the second quarter. Steelers kicker reed kicked a nice one to end the scoring in the half with a score of 28-23 titans.

Both defenses showed up again in the third quarter with only one TD being allowed. Titans RB Ringer put the titans up by 12 with a 17yd TD reception to end all scoring in the third. Titans 35 Steelers 23.

Defense was again king in the fourth but the steelers defense was shaky on the pass attempts by VY. Vince Young rolled with excellence and make timely passes to drive down field. The steelers defense would stiffen near the red zone but they gave two long FGs to the titans from 54 and 50 yards out to put the titans ahead 41-23. The steelers would score two more TDs in the fourth by Miller and Wallace by it wouldnt be enough, Titans win to go 1-1 in the the season of OMFL with a score of 44-35 over the steelers.
