    Week 2 summaries

Wyoming had the lead at halftime 17-14 when the wheels fell off the bus 5 T.O. 3 in the redzone cost Wyoming the upset of Texas as they fall 40-24 in Austin. Cant believe all the turnovers and the key holding calls that costed us this game

    Downward Spiral
Louisiana Tech looks for answers after losing 56-10 to Texas A&M.

We fell hard today at the hands of Texas A&M. La Tech QB went 13-35 for 195 yards and 4 interceptions. Running back Lennon Creer, just couldn't get it going on the ground mustering 28 measly yards on 15 carries. On defense, Tank Calais and Olajuwan Paige forced fumbles. That was pretty much it for us. TAMU released their man juice all over our guys today. Jerrod Johnson only threw 3 incompletions. Throwing for over 240 yards with 2 touchdowns. Christine Michael went off on 18 carries for 173 yards and 1 touchdown. Ryan Tannenhill made our linebackers look like old men out there getting 5 catches for 101 yards and 1 score. Game was over in the 1st quarter! Best thing we did all day was make TAMU's kicker miss 2 field goals.

    Blazers Struggles Continue
Lose to Conference USA opponent SMU 31-10

The Blazers struggles continued today. The Blazers played well again in the first half going to the locker room losing 10-14, however, starting QB David Isabelle would end up going to the locker room early with an injury that would hold him out for nearly the rest of the game. The Blazers came back out and received the kick off and after that the wheels fell off. First play from scrimmage in the 2nd half RB Daniel Borne fumbled the ball. The Blazer defense would make a stand and keep SMU from the end-zone and forcing them to miss a FG. However the Blazers could not capitalize and would eventually throw a pick on the defenses 5-yard line that would be returned for a touchdown. In the 2nd half the SMU air attack cut up the Blazers secondary. SMU would pass for over 500 yards. Coach ODU, "Our second half play was horrible, and another performance like this will not be tolerated and changes will be made if so." This game leaves UAB players and fans looking to get back on the field next week in their home opener against rival Troy.

Good game Sox, it really got away from me when Harvey started rolling. I need to get some better tackling going... and that would just be the start!

I had him penned up for awhile... then bam! Just dozing my guys Bettis style. He broke some outside runs that ticked me off... I had the Ends in contain in a 5-2 front, cover 2, show blitz. Should have stopped it, oh well.

GG H22! I couldnt catch a break that game. 75 yard TD run called back and that tipped pass in the redzone for an INT really sealed the deal for me. I tried using the Nevada option, LOL it was laughable how long it took to develop. After scrapping that I went with the power run game which worked pretty well until the turnovers. I guess one thing I got out of this game is good punt practice since the CSU defense did a great job on us. I tip my hat to H22!
