Wk2 Bucs @ Cards
Game was a shoot out from the sound of the gun. QB Josh Freeman rushed for a 14 yard TD run to get the scoring to begin. The Cardinals would answer back with two td's by Beanie Wells. One was a run and the other a 24 yard screen pass that shook the whole Bucs D. In the 2nd & 3rd qtr, Tampa held the cards to 3 fg's. During that stretch, HB James Davis put in work. He rush for 200 yards and Cards HB Wells had 125 on the ground. Arizona closed the game to within 3 in the final 3 minnutes but Davis got a few 1st downs to run down the clock.
The Pats and Ravens would fight a back and forth battle in Massachusetts.
The Pats would go up first with a pass from Brady to Watson, who would have a DE covering him. The Ravens would strike back quickly, as Flacco would find new wide out Donald Driver for a short pass. Driver would break the tackle of Shawn Springs and go 68 yards for the touchdown.
The Ravens would get a field goal in the second quarter for the 10-7 lead and a short pass from Flacco to Williams would give them a 17-7 lead at the half.
The Pats would stand firm in the second half, as they would get an early pick six, as Adielus Thomas would take the interception back 37 yards for the score to get the Pats within 3.
The teams would trade punts for most of the rest of the game. The Pats would take the lead on a 40 yard Wes Welker catch. The rest of the game, the Pats' defense would continue to bend, but would not break as they would pick off Flacco to seal the game.
The Jags hosted the Chiefs this week after a disappointing one point loss to the Broncos last week. Coach Lou was determined to score TDs when given the chance instead of opting for FGs. Turns out thathe didn't really have to do much this game as the defense and special teams stepped up big.
The Jags defense recorded their first shutout of the season and forced seven turnovers, recovering six of them (5 int's, 1 fumble). WR Mike Thomas returned a kickoff 99 yds for a TD and DE Quintin Groves returned a interception 81 yds for another score. HB Jones-Drew finally got in the endzone this game with a 1 yd TD run and QB Kelley James threw a 7 yd TD pass to TE Lewis. Josh Scobee kicked a FG to end the scoring for the Jags but that was more than enough today.
KC moved the ball well but had too many turnovers to overcome. Everytime the offense started to drive the ball a turnover would occur and end any momentum they would try to build on. The Jags got all the breaks in this game and the Chiefs came up short. Final score Chiefs 0, Jaguars 31.

Raiders traveled to Nashville to battle the defending AFC Champs, Titans.
Both teams come into the game 1-0 after a tuff 1st game for both of them. Coach Sav came into the game wanting to run the ball effectively while trying to hold Titans superstar C.Johnson from running away with the game. Raiders were able to succeed both on offense and defense. The duo of M.Bush and D.McFadden combined for 24 rushes for 142 yards and 3 TDs. Russell had a quiet day going 11/18 for 126 yards and 1 int. Titans offense was hurt by a combined 5 turn-overs, 1int and 4 fumbles. Most important was the success the Raiders D had against the run. C.Johnson could only mangae 34 yards and 1 TD on 11 carries. Titans QB J.Scott was 14/22 with 4 ints and 265 yards. Raiders back M.Bush scored the first TD of the game on a 43 yard run right up the gut. Raiders D scored on the next series when DE T.Scott picked up the fumble and rumbled 21 yards for the score. Janokowski hit on a 36 yd FG to put the Raiders up 17-0. Titans were able to get into FG range to let R.Bironas nail a 36 yder to get on the board. They would add another FG from 46 yds out to end the first half of play. 17-6.
Raiders got the ball first in 2nd half but were shut down by a swarming Titan defense. Getting the ball in decent field position the Titans came out slingin it to get it to the Raiders 6 yard line. C.Johnson would take the handoff, bounce out right, sidestep a tackle and run into the endzone for a TD. Titans elect to kick extra point instead of a 2-point try to get within four at 17-13. Raiders would dominate the 4th quarter. RB D.McFadden would score twice, one a 1yrd run while the other one was a 27 yd run to give the Raiders a commanding 31-13 lead. Raiders would get into FG range and let Jano kick another FG to put the Raiders up by 3 scores at 34-13. Titans would not give up and would try to drive the length of the field. They were almost into the red zone when QB J.Scott would throw is 4 and final pick to FS T.Branch at the Raiders 7 yd line. Raiders would take a couple of knees to record their 2nd win of this season.
Final: Raiders 34 Titans 13

Bears vs. Dolphins
Miami hosts the Chicago bears in a game that looked to be all Bears from the start but the Dolphins fight back to win a close one.
First half, the Bears had their way with the Dolphins defense carving up huge chunks on the ground. Dolphin offense did not provide much and Henne got sacked early and the fumble was converted for FG put the Bears up 3
Bears again would force the Dolphins into a 3 and out with another drive that had defenders reaching for the Bears HB's but not till they found the End zone 10-0
Henne fought back and would find his receivers sitting in the Bears zone to move the ball. With under 3 minutes Miami finds its way down the Bears 3 yard line and Brown runs it in 10-7 Bears
Bear would drive and manage a FG out of a drive that had no tackling from the Dolphins front line or LB's again. 13-7
Dolphins moved the ball to mid field but forced to punt on a 3rd and inches.
Bears would get going on O but a bone jarring hit by Rookie DT Ford on QB English and an off throw pass resulted for a pick by CB Smith who runs it down to the Bears 1 yard line.
Pat white subs and sneaks it in for a score for the 1 yard line and Fins take the lead 14-13
2nd half was a momentum changer as the Dolphins would drive down to the Bears 37 yard line and when they lined up for the FG and saw it would be a 54 yard try, Sporano calls time out. Henne was poised and the Bears came with an all out blitz but Ronnie Brown out ran his defender to make an amazing over the shoulder catch for a1st down. Brown runs it in from 4 yards out to go up 21-13
Bears get the ball and march down field on some nice misdirection runs and short passes as Wolfe finds the end zone from 12 yards out and a 2 point conversion ties it all up 21-21
Dolphins again drove down field and the Bears again came with a blitz and Henne stood tall, threw to a wide open TE Fosano for a score 28-21
Bears struggled with DT For sacking Haine for a 18 yard loss are forced to punt.
Henne again finds his targets down field and HB Williams run it in leaping over defenders for an 18 yard score 35-21 Fins
Bears would get great field position from a Hester return and Forte would go up the sidelines for a 47byard score 35-28
Dolphins had to keep the clock running with 6 minutes left and get some big plays by Rookie TE Jackson right up the seam and catch's a 18 yard strike from Henne for a 1st down. Bears held and but Miami managed a FG out of the drive 38-28 Fins
On the kickoff, it's Hester time who returns it for an 88 yard score 38-35 Fins
Miami got the ball with under 4 minutes left and decided to be conservative and outsmart the Bears on what was coming out and works to perfection converting 2 third downs to eat up most of the clock to under a minute and force the Bears to use all their time outs.
Huge penalties on the Bears sets up a 2nd down and 27 yards and Miami snuffs out a thriller 38-35
GG Scar, was amazing from beginning to the end! GL on the season bud.

Bengals @ Steelers
Bengals get their offense going 1st and QB Palmer would hit hit wr caldwell on a short out route and he would break 2 tackle and go 51yds sitting up hb benson for the short td run. 7-0 Qb Roth would then by picked off by Fs Nelson which would lead to a K Price fg. 10-0 On Steelers next possesion LB Ray M would get the int and again lead to a K Price fg. 13-0 at the end of 1st qrt
In the 2nd qrt the bengals defense would continue to play great and K Price would tack on the only points of the qrt on his 3rd fg. 16-0 halftime
Steelers would finally get on the board midway thru 3rd qrt as Hb Parker would bust off a 70yd td run. 16-6 Steelers go for 2 but fail. K price would tack on his 4th fg of game to make the score 19-6 after 3qrts
The 4th qrt would see K price connect 1 more time to make the score 22-6 . Steelers would threaten 1 last time but CB Hall would pick off QB Roth in the endzone to turn them away.

Vikings 59 Jets 45
The Vikings home opener for the 2010 Mega season was a game filled with big plays by some the league's biggest players. Explosive plays on the offensive, defensive, and special teams units from both teams made this game an exciting one for the fans, but exposed flaws in both teams defenses.
The Vikings defense, ironically enough, got the scoring going early. Second round rookie Raevon Hines crushed Sanchise as he released the ball, and Kevin Williams picked the errant pass and rumbled 50 yards for an early 7-0 lead.
The teams would then spend the next 4 quarters seemingly scoring at will. The Jets would get some big plays out of Leon Washingtatch on in the form of a big kick return for a score as well as a beautiful catch and run on 3rd and 20+ yards that he would turn into a 50 yard TD. 2nd year RB Shownn Green(?) ran for over 100YDs on a defense that prides intself on stopping the run.
For the Vikings their defense did enough to make up for the big plays they gave up throughout the game. 3 interceptions, 2 forced fumbles, and 2 TD's scored by the defense and special teams coverage unit.
But the story for the Vikings still begins and ends with AD. While only getting 13 carries AD again proved why he is such a nightmare for opposing Mega coaches by turning those 13 carries into 198 YDs and 3 TDs. Peterson ran through, over, and around the Jets and kept things fairly open for the Vikings passing attack.
While the Vikings clearly are happy to get the win against a tough opponent, the feeling is they are extremely disappointed with the defense at the moment. While the newcomers have done their part, the Vikes are still allowing far too many big plays, particularly on 3rd downs. Obviously the rhetoric about the KKD philosophy brought into Minnesota has far exceeded the actual on field performance of the defense.
GG Miller - definitely not a typical game. Good luck the rest of the way.

In week 2 the Cowboys would play host to the hated NY Giants. The Boys would get the ball first and promptly drive down the field for a Td when Romo would hit Berrian for a 45 yd Td pass. That would be all the scoring in the 1st qtr ass both defenses would stiffen. In the 2nd qtr the Cowboys defense would strike when Mike Jenkins would pick off Manning for a 96 yd pick 6 to give the Cowboys a 14-0 lead. Romo and the offense would strike once again in the 2nd qtr when Romo would hit Felix Jones for a 38 yd Td pass to increase the lead to 21-0. The Cowboys defense would put up another seven points when Jenkins would pick Manning off for a 84 yd pick 6 to give the Boys a whooping 28-0 lead. With the 1st half coming to an end the Giants would finally get on the board when Manning would find Reggie Bush for a 18 yd Td pass. The Cowboys would be able to get down the field before halftime to add a Fg to give themselves a 31-7 lead at halftime. In the 2nd half the Cowboys would pick Manning off 3 more times for a total of 5 on the game. That would allow the Cowboys to add a Fg in the 3rd and 4th qtrs to push the lead to 37-7. Manning would add another a 20 yd Td pass to Steve Smith for the Giants in the 4th to close out the scoring.

Niners host the Seahawks under a new offensive scheme and new defensive look. Shaun Hill returned to MVP form as he connected with every offensive player while Gore and Coffee took command on the ground game getting big chunks of yards when needed the most. The defense was also stellar playing lights out in the secondary grabbing 5 picks. Niners look to continue their solid play as they head to Denver.
Niners 44 Seattle 7
Denver @ Houston
The Bronoc's continued their 2010 season on the road and touched down in Houston to face the offensively gifted Texans.
Houston would receive the opening kick and dominate the clock holding a 6 min advantage in the first quarter, but a missed field goal by Kris Brown would spell trouble for the home side.
Denver took most of the second quarter to warm up and Matt Cassell finally started connecting with rookie WR Brandon Trammel and Jabar Gaffney to end the first half 17-10.
The Broncos took the opening half offering in the thrid and struggled to get hot again only adding a field goal to make it 20-10 before sexy Rexy, Rex Grossman, in for the injured Matt Schaub, threw a poor pass that was picked by Denver's Jack Williams to stop the driving Texans.
Denver added a late field goal and rookie OLB Dylan Uszakiewicz picked off Grossman's last ditch effort inside the Bronco twenty to give the visitors a 30-17 victory. Denver now gets set to open up at home against the current MEGA Champions, the 49ers in week three.
Larry Johnson had a big day ripping of huge chunks of yardage but left the game with a sore shoulder and is listd as day to day. Schaub left with a lower leg injury and did not return for the Texans, but was seen after the game walking without any difficulty. Rookie WR Brandon Trammel continues to find open space in the next level and leads the team in receiving yards. "Being able to pound the football early and in the later quarters is the biggest difference" stated coach Ross after the victory. "Matt brings leadership and will help make Alex a better quarterback, Larry is able to pick up tough yardage for us and that opens things up for our talented receiver's. We've been able to build on our defense and I think this season you'll see a much tougher Bronco team".
GG CPU ... sorry you lost your stub QB and Slaton continued to head to the sidelines holding his ribs ... your long bomb, one handed catches just weren't working for you this time .. maybe next time?

Saints @ Rams
Another statement game for the rams this week as the the 1-0 Saints came to town. After last weeks win over the defending megabowl champs, the rams came out pumped up and ready to go.
The coaches for the rams thought they would catch the saints by surprize if the went to the air early and often and were very successful early. On two big passes and one run play, steven jackson capped the 3 play opening drive with his second TD score of the season.
That early passes sucess would end quite quickly because of 3 interceptions the redzone by Saints SS Porter. Coach ox would change his offensive philosophy for the rest of the game as steven jackson and the all pro bowl line would take over and the rams would cruise the rest of the game.
Saints 0 -Rams 31
Players of the game:
Rams RB Steven Jackson- 26 rush 124 yards 2 TD, 3 rec 68 yards 1 TD
Saints SS T. Porter- 2 tackles, 3 ints (all in redzone)
The Skins and Eagles would start out their division rivalry game playing tough defense. Neither offense would be able to do much as both defenses would be blow up plays left and right.
The Skins defense would knock out McNabb for a few plays and the Eagles not wanting to take any chances would stick in Michael Vick at QB.
The Skins would finally get on the board with under two minutes left in the first half with a field goal. On the ensuing drive, safety Chris Horton would come on a blitz and knock the ball free. Albert Hayensworth would pick up the ball and rumble 23 yards for the 10-0 lead at the half.
A Portis screen play in the third quarter would give the Skins the 17-0 lead. The Eagles would come back quickly driving down the field ending it with a short pass from McNabb to Celek to close the lead to 17-7.
The Skins weren't taking any chances, and would get going with a 42 yard rush by Ahmad Bradshaw. Mike Sellers would get the touchdown a little while later for the 24-7 lead. A field goal after an interception of McNabb would close out the scoring at 27-7.
The Falcons Hosted the Panthers in a Divisional Battle and that is what it was a BATTLE . The 2 Clubs traded scores in the 1st QTR , But the Panthers scored as timw expired in the Half to take the league .The 2nd half was another back and fourth game with what seemed to be whoever had the ball last would have a shot to win . The Falcons scored with 13 sec left in the game to take the lead . The Panthers had a shot but could not do it . GG JC Thnx for the sub

It was a tight defensive battle at first, Packers scored on there opening drive then were held to 3 consecutive fieldgoal's to lead at halftime 16-0. The Lions moved the ball decently but kept having problems turning the ball over, as they finished with 3 int's and 1 fumble. In the second half the Packers had there way with the Lions, to make the Final 37-10
