Garrard Leads Seahawks To Victory In Debut David Garrard made an immediate impact in his Seahawks debut. He was accurate and efficient through the air and was able to pick positive yards on the ground when he needed to. It was an amazing difference from Jackson and Whitehurst and it allowed the Seahawks to jump out to a 10-0 lead. Then things started to slow down and the Cardinals began to make a comeback. Arizona would end up tying it 10-10 in the 3rd quarter but that's when Seattle's special teams would come up big. Leon Washington would return the kickoff all the way for a TD and a 17-10 lead. Arizona came right back as Kevin Kolb hit Early Doucet for an 80 yard TD. However, Seattle's Justin Forsett would return the next kickoff for a TD as well. Excluding extra points and 1 kickoff return, there were 4 straight TD plays in this stretch. Now up 24-17, the Seahawks would control the rest of the game and go on to win 34-20. Player of the Game: Sidney Rice - Garrard was great but Rice abused rookie CB Patrick Peterson all game including stealing a pass away out of the air for a TD.
