Yes I know but it was only during the offseason. I meant ranked for the first time during the season.

    2014 Week 3
    Southern Miss – 9
    UAB - 17

Birmingham, AL – The UAB Blazers take down Southern Miss on a miserable rainy day in Birmingham, 17-9. Southern Miss stayed in the game due to not turning the ball over. While the Blazers were in the Christmas spirit, giving up the ball 3 times.

QB Adam Sanders notches another pick to his record but managed the game well, completing 14 of 24 for 170 yards. Sanders was knocked out of the game just long enough for one of my Freshman quarterbacks to come and throw a pick in USM territory. The rushing attack was led by Dan Andrews, who went over 100 yards and by Jerry Williams. Williams, last years surprise 1000 yard rusher, had 81 yards and touchdown.

The Blazer finish up their non-conference schedule next with a trip to the great state of Texas to take on another Big 12 opponent, the Baylor Bears.

    Utah State Dominates Colorado 38-10

Almost an exact replica of my game vs BYU. Dominated on offense and defense. QB Sapp got hurt and Brewster led for a few quarters before Sapp returned. Had 2 more long TD runs (76, 68) by the other RB Freeman this time. Held Colorado to only 162 total yards and to only 5 completions throughout the game. CU's only TD came on a 75 yard INT return before the half. Ran for 297 yards and passed for 253 between the 2 QBs. RB Freeman was player of the game, with 14 carries for 180 yards and 3 TDs. Utah State now has 7 TDs of 50+ yards in their first 3 games.

Utah State now plays @ Western Kentucky for their first conference game. (Will this be the first top 25 matchup in H4Y '11?)
WKU defeated Utah State last season 45-42.

    *Side note*
SR. Anthony Bonds broke the Utah State record for career recieving TDs, with 26.

    Oofta.

MTSU wins the "Battle for the Palladium" (WTF lol) with a last minute TD 49-42. Offense is clicking, defense blew a 21 point lead.

I'll get in depth on it tonight or tomorrow at work, sorry for the lack of summaries so far gents, its been job chaos at school this week with the HC being fired so I've been a bit sidetracked debating what to do next season. However, I must say I love the pace of this league so far, even though ima bout to start taking some whippin's in user games lol.

You're good Jman. A few sentences are all that's needed for summaries.

    #17 WKU-16
    #9 tOSU-13

For the second straight week WKU takes down a top 10 team.

Alford threw a TD to his TE in the first quarter and the kicker handled the rest of the scoring going 3-3 with a long of 42. My stable of backs rushed 40 times for 54 yards combined. tOSU DTs split every freaking double team and it was slow going but we made it work and found a way to win.

MOSCOW - The Idaho Vandals have had four years of pent up frustration from losing close games to division rival Louisiana-Lafayette. Saturday night, they let it all out. The Vandals opened up a major can of whoop ass on the overmatched Cajuns, scoring touchdowns on their first 4 possessions and kicking a field goal as time expired in the first half to take a commanding 31-7 lead into the break. The Cajuns were able to score a touchdown in the 3rd quarter before Idaho was able to rattle off the last 21 points of the game for a lopsided 52-14 victory in the vaunted Kibbie Dome.

Though the Vandal ground attack could never really get going (30 carries for 86 yards), Preseason All-Nikpin selection Bryan Sixmore threw for 398 yards and 5 touchdowns with 0 interceptions before being pulled early in the 4th quarter.

The Vandals' defense, the butt of many a joke since Coach Full Moon Fever took the job in Idaho, really let loose on the ULaLa offense, coming up with 4 turnovers (3 INT) and holding the Ragin Cajun offense to a pitiful 0-7 on 3rd downs, and 0-4 on 4th downs. In total, Coach Snoopy's bunch was only able to muster 360 total yards, and the ULL running backs were held to just 3 yards on 3 carries. Freshman quarterback Josh Wright was able to run for 66 yards on 10 attempts, although he coughed it up 2 times, losing 1.

After the game, Coach Full Moon Fever seemed pleased with the team's effort.

"It's about time we got a win against these guys. We hadn't beaten them since I got here. We've had lots of close games and some games we thought we should've won, so it's nice to finally get this monkey off our back. It was just one of those nights when everything clicked. We're going to enjoy this win for 24 hours, and then it's back to work. We get a chance to rest up next week before those damn aggies come to the Kibbie Dome. It's just a shame we have to share a 4**** rating with a team as miserable as ULaLa."

    Kent St at UL MOnroe

The Golden Flashes played like one of the early teams of coach JQwon's career. The offense killed itself throughout the game as QB Cedric McCloud threw four interceptions, one going back 56 yards for a touchdown, and at times the offense couldn't move at all. Kent State turned the ball over 4 times while ULM didn't turn it over at all. Normally that would spell disaster, but the Golden Flash defense rose to the occasion.

They held ULM to only 104 yards passing with 74 of it coming on a long bomb with two minutes left in the game and down 14. Kent St also dominated time of possesion as they controlled the ball 20:45 compared to 11:15 by ULM. The Warhawks also didn't convert a single 3rd down conversion in the game.

In the end, Kent State did enough to get the 35-28 victory, but it was a sloppy game for the Golden Flashes. Sophomore tight end Gerald Johnson did most of the heavy lifting as he was excellent in blocking for the run game, but was a key party of the passing game as well. He had 8 receptions for 122 yards and one touchdown.
