In a pick M game, Dat U doubles up Dat M. Minnesota had a big strong line, but we took Lee Corso's advice and "run some screens and draws" to keep the big boys off balence. They did knock out Todd Shaw for two quarters, but Charlie Murphy kept the chains moving.

Jack Black was the player of the game. He threw for 378 yards with 5 TDs and meaningless, half time pic. He played through a dislocated shoulder winning the admiration of his teammates and putting him in solid position to inherit the big C next year.

Zach Chambers and Nate Dogg were very aggresive on the Dline and Elvis Presley had a huge fumble recovery in the second quarter. That let Miami score again and go up 21-7 to take the wind out of the Gophers' sails.

Next week, we face off against the U of South Florida in the final tune up before MACk conference play.

From the recruiting trail, Miami has some amazing news. We've been blessed with 4 early commits thus far, all in high needs areas. In the first week, a pipe-hitting Safety from Fairview Park, OH joined. In week 2, a big TE from Willowick, OH commited. This week we signed another bruiser at TE from Seven Hills, OH, and a speedy ATH from North Madison, OH.

During last season, we didn't get our 4th commit until the 9th week. How this ties in to the newly selected spirit squad, is irrelevant.

    Nice work, F-L.

Hanging 22 in the fourth vs. anyone is good. Doing it against Cincy is pretty damn amazing! Congrats on keeping your boys focused for a full four quarters!

FYI - one of our original GBNers is running the Boston Marathon tomorrow. I expect BDizzle to represent the GBN well!

Going into Beaver ville is no easy task...Was expecting a hostile rowdy bunch of fans. Being able to jump on them early was the key to the Falcons success in this game. After a stop and a drive for a touchdown followed by a defensive touchdown. That blew the momentum of Oregon St and gave the Falcons a edge they carried threw out the game

    Falcons.........42
    Oregon St.....3
