The Bucs defense has had two straight weeks of solid performances both of which led their team to wins. This week 3 matchup versus division rival Panthers would be no different.

Early in the game the Panthers offense were in the midst of a great drive but that all came to an end when Bucs rookie 1st rd pick CB Ellis French stepped in front of a WR screen pass and raced 95yds for the touchdown. The Panthers offense would not find success on their next subsequent drives either as the Bucs defense gave QB Cam Newton trouble all-day which included another pick 6 this time by Bucs rookie 3rd rd pick LB Deion Felton.

This early hole proved too much for the Panthers offense to overcome and Newton began forcing passes into coverage and ended the day with a total of 5 Ints. The stellar D-Line play of another Bucs rookie, this time 1st round pick Rommell Greene whom garnered 3 sacks on the day were just too much for the Panthers to overcome.

The Bucs used a 2nd half running game that was able to chew up enough clock to not allow Newton and the Panthers any attempt at a comeback.

GG CSteud . The game got away from with those unlucky interceptions early. GL rest of the year.
