Week 3: Detroit Lions(44) @ Minnesota Lions(31) Detroit Lions step out of the basement & into the Win column. Minnesota was the setting of a battle of two winless teams desperate for a win. The 0-2 Lions played visitors to 0-2 Vikings in this early season divisional battle. Vikings won the toss and Coach Tank decided to take the ball to open the game. The unretired wonder Brett Farve led a charge down the Lions throat that was capped off by a Toby Gerhart 3-yd TD run. The Lions quickly answered with a beautiful "Reggie Bush" endzone pylon dive by rookie Jhavid Best for the 11-yd TD run. 1st Qtr.
