DETROIT LIONS @ MINNESOTA VIKINGS The Minnesota Vikings hosted their NFC North rival, the Detroit Lions in week 3. A lot of things were being tossed around in and out of the circle. Would Minnesota dump their head coach if he didn't get things together? Release McNabb? Why didn't AP get more than 7 carries against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers? The Vikings came out with a new attitude and some new philosophies. Block, block and block some more! Our offense clicked on all cylinders today as our main part to the offense exploded. Adrian Peterson showed why he is one of the best running backs in the National Football league, today against a very up and coming "hungry" Lions defense. AP rushed 19 times for 192 yards and scored 1 touchdown. A much different output than last week's abysmal 7 carries for 9 yards that was discussed thoroughly, everywhere. Percy Harvin hauled in 3 catches for 54 yards and 1 score. Visanthe Shiancoe displayed why he is a key ingredient to this Viking offense with 3 catches also but for 44 yards. Michael Jenkins and Devin Aromashodu each pulled in 1 catch. The defense played great forcing 1 interception and holding Jahvid Best to 70 yards. Ryan Longwell tacked on 2 field goals to give this team some insurance. The Vikings won 20-6 today and answered a couple questions. It looks like Minnesota is headed in the right direction, so for now, things shouldn't get hot. Donavan won't be released anytime soon if he continues to play how he did today although he threw 1 interception, he played well overall. AP will never get less than 18 carries.
