    Jacksonville Jaguars 10
    Seattle Seahawks 14

The Seattle Seahawks earned a hard fought 14-10 victory in week 3 over the visiting Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars were on the verge of taking a late lead in the 4th quarter, as they marched down field and into the red zone. Seahawks All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman made a great catch in the endzone for a drive killing interception and the Seahawks were able to run out the clock and preserve the victory.

The Jaguars continue to fight through their growing pains as one of the youngest teams in the league. Rookie QB Matt Scott, an undrafted free agent out of Arizona, continue to show signs of being the budding franchise quarterback that the Jaguars coaching staff saw when they named him as their starter. He made some good reads as well as some bad ones, throwing for one touchdown and three interceptions, but the hope in Jacksonville is that he will be the man to someday lead this team to the promised land.

The Seahawks saw immediate positive results from recently acquired offensive guard Jon Asamoah in the game. Acquired from the Kansas City Chiefs, in exchange for a 2015 1st and 3rd rounder, the young road grader was named as the starter at right guard shortly before game time. With a great performance, including leading the charge and throwing a devastating block on 70 yard Robert Turbin touchdown run, Asamoah made the Seahawks decision to pay such a steep price look genius so far. If Asamoah continues to play anywhere near the level he did in this game; the Seahawks got themselves an All-Pro caliber guard, that is only in his 4th NFL season, and he will be in a Seattle uniform for the foreseeable future. Immediately following the the trade, the Seahawks locked the young guard up with a 5 year contract extension, the details of which have yet to be disclosed by the team.

The biggest beneficiary of the Asamoah acquisition was Turbin. Turning in his best game as a pro in his young career, Turbin ran for 110 yards on 14 carries, including the 70 yard touchdown. Turbin needed a solid performance such as this, as his performance as the starting halfback had been underwhelming at best in the first 2 weeks of the season.

The win improves the Seahawks to 2-1 on the season as they head to Houston in week for to take on the 0-3 Texans. The Seahawks know that coach Dave and his Texans are a dangerous team, regardless of their record, and they will have to be prepared for the hungry Texans.

The Jaguars drop to 0-3 on the season and this loss was just another disappointing ending to a hard fought game for coach Doug and his young team. The Jaguars will host coach Curtis and his 3-0 Colts in week 4, and nothing would make them happier than handing the Colts their first loss of the season.

Great game as usual Doug! Good luck the rest of the season!
