San Francisco's defense comes up big once again, picking Romo 5 times and sacking him 3. The Niners have yet to give up a touchdown in 3 straight games.

Dallas started off with the ball and converted a big 3rd and long to WR Ogletrree for 58yds. However a few plays later, rookie LB Ben Jackson picked Romo off in the endzone. All that came of it was a FG by Nedney. The Cowboys were able to kick a FG of their own in the first as well. In the 2nd quarter, the Niners put a solid drive together, ending in a 10yd TD run by RB Gore. After another int by LB Willis, WR Ginn was able to cruise for 6 on the first play from scrimmage, a 67yd run and catch. On the very next Dallas play, Romo was picked by newly acquired CB Dunta Robinson, who took it in for another 6. Nedney was able to add another FG right before half, 27-3.

SF started off with the ball in the 2nd half and was forced to punt. In really the only action of the 2nd half, Dallas was able to get to the Niners 3 yard line, but was denied four straight times, twice from the 1. That can pretty much sum up the Cowboys' day as nothing went right for them offensively. Final score 27-3, GG.

    Niners:

    QB Smith 10\15 206yds 1 TD
    RB Gore 16atts 70yds 1 TD
    WR Ginn 3recs 126yds 1 TD
LB Jackson 3tkls, 1int, 1 sack (Player of the Game)
    LB Willis 5tkls 1int

    Cowboys:

    QB Romo 13\22 251yds 5ints
    RB Jones 16atts 69yds
    WR Ogletree 3recs 95yds
    SS Savage 7tkls

Tough game for us, we knew what was coming and we still struggled a bit to stop it. Ginn and Davis are tough crossing the field and Ginn on that screen is just too fast. Pretty lame when a real life NFL turd is a Madden beast...Speed is a killer when used like Ginn is.

That said our D wasnt the issue, our O was. The blocking was poor, the QB play was really really bad. We felt like we used the entire route tree but the niners dbs were just too good today running better pass routes then our WRs, our Dbs didnt catch the ones we had shots at.

We got stuffed on downs at the 1, love when the Dline just Matrix's through the oline down there even when you pinch it down...we then threw a pick at the 1, and threw another pick inside the 20, our five picks all led to points.

End of story, tough game, not much went our way. The niner D is very good but we moved the ball just didnt protect it. The Niner O we had a decent plan for but our O never gave us a shot and neither did Madden.

Damn, Niners' defense is legit! Dristch - please copy and paste this recap to the XFN site as that is now our primary place for those. Thanks!
