    Week 3 Niners 30 Chiefs 6

Once again the Niners D comes up big with 4 sacks, 3 ints, and holding its opponent to single digits.

In the first half SF put together meticulous, solid drives, both ending in 1yd TD runs by FB Norris and RB Gore. First half ended with a 14-0 Niner lead.

The 3rd quarter saw much of the same, with the first drive ending in a 9yd TD run by Gore and in the last minute, a 50+ yd field goal from Nedney. KC was able to put up a TD in the middle of the 4th but failed on the 2-point conversion. SS Taylor Mays had a pick-6 with a few minutes left to seal it. GG bb

    SF:

    QB Alex Smith 11\18 182yds 1int
    RB Frank Gore 18atts 53yds 2 TDs
    TE Vernon Davis 4recs 63yds
SS Taylor Mays 6tkls, 1 sack, 1 pick-6 (Player of the Game)

    KC:

    QB Matt Cassel 17\35 295yds 3ints
    RB Jamaal Charles 10atts 28yds
    WR Bernard Berrian 4recs 86yds

I didn't take advantage of some scoring situations and the 49ers did. I think I'll get better with this team as the season goes on. The 49ers run defense is probably the best in the league.
