    Week 3 - Oregon 24 St VS Misso 17

Coming off of a bye week the OS Beavers were faced with a tough Misso team and Coach Saints Dave. After a last second fg won their week 1 match up against Coach Vishal and his MSU Bulldogs, the Beavers really needed to rely heavly on Rodgers & Rodgers to get a decisive victory. This just wasn't in the cards today because this Misso team showed up ready to play.

Beavers win the toss and elect to defer. Both defenses would be the story of the day, that was until after the 1st play from scrimmage for the Beavers. After a 3 and out the Beavers hand the ball to Rodgers, who promptly takes it 40+ yards for an opening score, much like he done in week 1 vs the MSU Bulldogs.

After that it was all down hill for the Beavers, due to some sloppy play from the QB position. After a tough outting against the Bulldogs, Coach Nate pulled Freshman QB Mannion for So QB Katz. This didnt work either after Katz threw 2 ints and had several balls batted at the LOS.

After several key turnovers the Misso tigers roared back and tied the game late in the 1st half. They would also hurt both Rodgers, which would put the Beavers in a tough spot.

After putting the team back in the lead in the 3rd quarter the Beavers HAD to figure out how to come up with a stand and hold off the Tigers. All that WOULD happen though is the Tigers would get a INT late in the game and tie it up at 17 each with just 50 seconds left on the clock. With a new QB, new WR, and a new RB, the Beavers then marched right down the field and score on a 9 yard rush from back up RB McCants to take a 24-17 lead and win the game.

    Another great game with SaintsDave.

Both teams defense played very well and both teams really scrapped this one out. Beaver defense would force their own turnovers and would also get several key sacks on the day. Moving forward though the big question for the Beavers is what to do about their QB situation? There is not good answer as the Beaver plan on starting their 3rd different QB in 3 games.
