Brees Mortal, but Saints Win Again

NEW ORLEANS, la- Drew Brees had been nearly perfect on the season, throwing no interceptions and leading his teams to wins over two of the NFC's best teams.

Brees wasn't nearly as immortal in Week 3, but he still powered the Saints past one of the AFC's best, the Houston Texans.

The former league MVP threw three interceptions, but still had a magnificent game with 451 yards and 5 touchdowns. He did all that on just 18 pass attempts, as the Texan's defense defended the short field and left long passes open multiple times for the Saints potent offense.

"The Texans did a good job early of getting up on us (14-0) and really playing in a way we weren't expecting," said Coach Dunlap.

"We were able to make some adjustments and then opened it up for Drew a little bit, and then things started happening."

The New Orleans defense had it's own handful of big plays, with five interceptions of Houston quarterback Matt Shaub.

Those momentum changing takeaways would help the Saints come back from a two score deficit early, and keep them undefeated on the season.

Now New Orleans will travel to face a surprising Jacksonville Jaguars team on the road.
