Miami gets back to its winning ways crushing conference foe Maryland 55-30. After a 28 point 2nd quarter the Canes never looked back. Senior Qb Jacory harris had a career day going 18-28 465 yards 4 tds to 1 pick. Wr's Johnson, Byrd and Benjamin had career days Johnson with 8 catches for 266 yards and 2 tds, Byrd with 4 catches for 79 yards and 2 tds, one which was a spectacular catch in the back of the endzone late in the 1st half. Benjamin had 4 catches for 108 yards and no scores. Byrd also had a kick return early in the 3rd.

    #23 USC 23
    #3 Nebraska 28

The game was never as close as the score indicated, USC got a 4th quarter touchdown, but never saw the ball again as the Huskers ran the game out. Cody Green was excellent, passing for 250 and 4 td's. A combined effort accounted for 200 yards rushing and the Blackshirts held the high octane Trojans in check. Next up is a trip to Tallahasse to take on the over-rated Seminoles.

Florida State wins comfortably over BC; 42-7

Florida State played an almost perfect game until in the last quarter of the game Coach K got stupid and called a play action pass which was picked off and returned for a TD.

It's what they deserved. They came to their senses after recovering the onside kick, and ran out the clock.

That play taught them not to take advantage of anyone or to under estimate anyone. I expect a strong performance out of the Seminoles when Nebraska comes to town.

Colorado overcomes sloppy start to beat Cal 23-10, but lose Scott for 9 weeks

The D kept Cal from capitalizing on 4 CU turnovers in a sloppy, wet game in Berkley and the offense picked things up in the 2nd half. Nothing too exciting happened in this one. The biggest news is that RB Darrell Scott has an abdominal tear and is out for 9 weeks. He was leading the nation in rushing yards and touchdowns coming into the game.
