    Week 3: Steelers (41) Bucs (34)

Steelers go back to the basics

The Steelers went back to their roots by rushing for 271 yards in their 41-34 defeat of the Tampa Bay Bucs at Tampa. Leon Washington proved he was worth trading 2 promising rookies for his services by accounting for 348 total yards and 3 TD's.

Defense was scarce in this one as Pittsburgh's running game could not be stopped and Tampa Bay's passing game also couldnt be stopped. Despite Josh Freeman's 2 interceptions he still passed for 399 yards.

Tampa led by 3 after the first quarter but Pittsburgh came back to take a 21-17 halftime lead. Pittsburgh tacked on a field goal in the third to extend their lead to 24-17. 34 total points were scored in the final quarter as Freeman's threw 2 picks trying to bring his team back.

    MVP: Leon Washington
