Swoop's game summary for Utah LSU
LSU 27 Utah 22
LSU got some home cooking by some bad officiating in the 1st half that helped them jump out to a 13-0 lead at halftime. This observer wants to know how pass interference can be called on a screen pass where the ball doesn't go past the LOS and the guy the penalty was on ended up blocked into the receiver.
Utah opened the second half inspired by their special teams with 2 excellent kickoff returns. The first one by Brooks, he was stopped at the LSU 1. The 2nd one by Wide went all the way for a TD.
Key play was the first play of 4th qtr, Utah down 27-14 at LSU 2 yard line, 3rd and goal. Utah calls play action and it was picked off just inside end zone, LSU was tackled at their 1 yard line. Next play way safety making it 27-16 LSU. Utah drove down after fee kick to make it 27-22. Utah scrapped but was dominated far beyond score indicated.

Purdue takes down #25 Colorado State..
The Boilers traveled out west to take on the Colorado State Rams..
In a clash of 2 ranked teams.. both teams are very talented.
CSU got the ball first and drove down the field only to be stopped short on 3rd and In.
Purdue would get the ball back on their own 3 yard line. And the Boilers started the locomotive and down the field they chugged all the way down to the 27yard line and stalled. Forced to take the 3pts.
The Boiler defense came up huge several times in the 1st qtr. But CSU's punt game was shock and awe. Putting the boilers down to the their own 2 yard line. CSU would be able to sack TerBush in the endzone and get 2 points.. Both teams Defense were playing Lights out.
Headed into the forth quater it was a 3 - 2 ball game with Purdue in the lead. Both offenses would erupt. Purdue struck first with a 3 yard pass to the TE Adams. 10-2.. CSU would strike back quickly but the Boilers would stand strong on the 2pt attempt. Purdue would strike again this time with a toss left to Bolden who raced down the field 49 yards to give Purdue the 17-8 lead. with 2:49 left.
CSU would get right back in the thick of things with 1:17 left. 17-15. CSU attempted to get an onside but Purdue fell on it.. Another huge toss left brought the Boilers down to the 20. They chewed up the clock and were forced to take the 3 again and gave the ball back to CSU with 17 seconds left.
Then the biggest play of the Boiler defense came when CSU QB Kubiak dropped back fired right and was PICKED OFF! by the SS Mckinley. His 2nd of the day.
Purdue Walked away again putting up 17 points in the 4th win. 20-15

That sounds like a fun game to watch.
The sheep crowded the tracks, could not keep the train from coming through.
CSU hosted Purdue in their last game before conference play. After CSU's last game against Arkansas, who knew what to expect out of this team. Well, for three quarters, they got the best defensive performance of the year. The Rams defense yeilded one FG, while forcing two turnovers. They also caused a fumble that was recovered by Purdue, and managed to record a safety on a sack of QB Caleb TerBush. The safety was set up by a spectacular punt from P Pete Kontodiakos. He managed to pin Purdue inside their 5 twice in the game. After halftime, a few adjustments were made by both offenses, as you could see a little more being brought out of the playbook. A FG missed by CSU late in the third would prove costly at the end of the day. But that was yet to be seen.
Early in the 4th Purdue managed to put together a drive that finally found the painted area. TE Kyle Adams found an open spot and waited for the pass from TerBush for the 6 points. The very next drive, CSU finally found a rhythm, completing passes down the field to answer the call. QB Klay Kubiak found WR TJ Borcky over the middle and Borcky did the rest himself, dragging defenders along with him the last 5 yards into the endzone. A 2pt conversion attempt was stoned when Purdue's front collapsed the CSU line and brought down Kubiak before he could get the pass off. 10-8 Purdue.
Purdue came right back out and steamed their way down the field. They were at midfield when HB Ralph Bolden broke the big one. This was the play of the game as Bolden went on a toss left, broke a tackle and cruised into the endzone. 17-8 Purdue.
Now in some trouble, trailing two scores (see missed FG earlier), it was time to panic a little. But Kubiak looked calm under pressure, putting together another drive. A little too much time went off the clock, but CSU managed to score with just over 1:15 remaining, when HB John Mosure came out of the backfield uncovered, caught the pass and walked into the endzone untouched. 17-15 Purdue.
A failed onside attempt led to a Purdue FG with :16 secs left. CSU went straight to the air, but was picked off on the first pass. Game over.
20-15 Purdue. Great Game T2. Look forward to visiting West Lafeyette next season.
Thanks wish i hated everyone as much as i do iowa

#19 Cincinnati @ Bowling Green
CINCINNATI ESCAPES BOWLING GREEN WITH 28 - 23 WIN
BOWLING GREEN, Oh -- After being destroyed by Clemson one week ago, BG made significant improvement against the Bearcats of Cincinnati. Even though the Falcons lost a close one, the game would have to be viewed as a moral victory leading into MAC play.
Once again the Falcons were lead by Willie Geter who had 397 all purpose yards including 2 touchdowns. The pass defense played fantastic as they held UC QB C. Anderson to 6 of 25 passing for 116 yards. However, the problem for the Falcons was the run defense. UC RB J. Goebel rushed for 184 yards on 19 carries and scored 2 touchdowns including a 14 yard run in the fourth quarter where he broke 4 tackles to give the Bearcats a 28 - 16 lead.
UP NEXT FOR THE FALCONS - BYE WEEK and then
thnx ryty for putting it up.
