    Week 3

The Skins would take an early 7-0 lead on the back of Bradshaw and Portis. The Lions would tie it up in the second with a nice drive, helped by a 47 yard rush by Brown, who would catch the ball later on for the score.

The Skins offense would have trouble going, but thanks to the efforts of backup safety Kareem Moore, the Skins would take a big lead. The Skins would punt the ball midway through the quarter, when Kevin Barnes would hit return man Humphrey causing a fumble. Moore would return the ball the 11 yards for the score.

On the ensuing kickoff, Humphrey would move to his right, when Moore would hit him hard once more, causing another fumble. Deangelo Hall would pick it up for the 23 yard score and within 7seconds the Skins would take a 21-7 lead.

The Lions wouldn't give up, scoring on a beautiful run by Kevin Smith from 57 yards out with under a minute to play. With the ball at their 36, the Skins would call one of their patented screen plays at the exact right time. The Lions would be blitzing from the right side, exactly where Campbell would throw the screen to Santana Moss for the 64 yard score just before the half, and a 28-14 lead.

The Skins would get a short run by Bradshaw in the third quarter and he Lions would get a screen pass for a touchdown of their own by Megatron. A field goal mid way through the fourth would end the score with the Skins winning 38-21.

GG Kan, last two games the hitstick has killed me forcing 3 fumbles, 2 of them leading to TD's. That punt return was just stupid on my part not calling for a fair catch and skins made me pay. Defensively, my run defense hasn't showed up for the last two games. Offense moved the ball a lot better then the pervious week. Overall, just need to get more pratice in. GG Kan gl rest of the way.

    Titans vs. Jags

This was a bitter sweet win for the Jags. The first game disconnected with the Titans winning 6-0 in the second quarter. The Jags offered to let the Titans score in the restart game so they could have their original six point lead, but the Titans being the class act that they are, declined and opted for a clean restart.

The first game featured tough defense by both teams. In this game the offense's came to play. The Jags offense put together a nice drive but it stalled inside the Titans redzone and they had to settle for a FG to make it 3-0 Jags. The Titans came right back running and passing the ball, putting together an 86 yd drive capped by HB Chris Johnson 1 yd TD run to make it 7-3 Titans after one quarter.

The second quarter saw more offense from the Jags as they marched downfield behind a 41 yd run from HB Jones-Drew. Drew would take it in a few plays later to make it 10-7 Jags. After stopping Tennessee and forcing a punt, the Jags would get another TD on a pretty PA pass from QB Kelly James to his TE making it 17-7 Jags. Once again the Titans would crank it up and march downfield looking for the endzone. The Jags defense would hold again and force the Titans to kick a FG making it 17-10 Jags at the break.

The third quarter saw some tough defense by both teams. The Titans managed to get the only score of the quarter making it 17-13 Jags after three quarters.

In the fourth quarter the Jags found themselves in a familiar situation. Against the Broncos in week one, they kicked two FGs after having it 4th and 1 from the goalline. That would cost them the game and they vowed to go for it in the same situation next time. Fast forward to this week, leading 17-13 with about 2:20 to play in the game, the Jags line up to go for it. The Titans call their last timeout and the Jags re-think their decision. If we kick the FG, we go up by 7 points with a little over 2 mins left in the game and no timeouts for the Titans. If we go for it and dont make it, the Titans could win the game with a TD. Coach Lou opted to kick the FG and turn the game over to his defense. This was the best choice as the Jags got a sack and a game saving interception by newly acquired CB Chris Johnson. The Jags kneel and kill the clock securing the win. Final score Titans 13, Jags 20.

GG TRude and see you in Tennessee.

    Vikings 27 Cowboys 24

The Minnesota Vikings kicked a game winning field goal as time expired to escape Dallas with a narrow victory. A battle from start to finish that saw the lead change hands numerous times, and left many players hurting heading into weak 4. In fact, Cowboy starting RB Felix Jones was lost for the season with a torn pec muscle. This marks the second season in a row that Dallas has lost a big piece of their offense for an extended period - last year losing WR Craytoin for good with a career ending neck injury.

The Vikings also put a hurt to Tony Romo. Repeatedly harrassed by Minnesota's talented Dline, Romo was sacked 3 times, and threw 5 interceptions on the day. Newly acquired Aaron Curry again made big plays all over the field, with 2 ints and a sack for the day. Cedric Griffin also pitched in with 2 INTs and physical play against former Viking WR Bernard Berrian. Romo, who came into the game having not thrown an INT all year, finished completing only 14 of 30 passes for 216 yards and 1 TD.

The Vikings were not the only team to bring their A game on defense. Dallas also managed to make Brady Quinn uncomfortable for most of the day, forcing 2 INTs and causing a Brady Quinn fumble on the day. Quinn finished 19 of 40 for 291 yards and 3 TDs. Rookie TE Phoenix Bible again had a strong performance finishing with 4 catches for 84 yards and a TD. But the play of the day was made by Brooks Foster who came up big with under a minute left in the game on a 3rd and 14 with an 18 yard catch that put the Vikes in position for Nick Folks game winning FG as time expired.

Next up for the Vikings is a trip to the always dangerous Washington Redskins where the points should again be hard to come by. An important game for Minnesota as they will begin divisional play the following week.

    Other notable performers:
Rookie DE Raevon Hines nets 2nd consecutive game with a sack.
J Keller, Dallas rookie RB, finishes with 129 yds total offense and a TD.
Peterson bottled up on ground but also gains 129 combined yds with a TD.
Dallas MLB J. Williams was all over field breaking up passes and finishes with 1 sack and 1 INT.

A great game by both teams bro. Good luck on the season.

The Steelers host the Colts and sub coach Kan in a week 3 battle. On the first offensive play Addai breaks off a 60 + yrd run. A few plays later the colts would get on the board with a TD. On the kickoff little Stephan Logan would bounce off a pile and take it 106 yrds to tie the game. 7-7 after 1 qtr.

Steelers would move the ball all game but kill themselves with int's. They add a Reed FG to take a 10 -7 lead. Colts come back and Manning finds Wayne to put the colts up 14-10 at the half.

Steelers would take the lead late in the 3rd qtr as Big ben would hit rookie TE Vega somehow in the endzone. The steelers would also dodge a few bullets as Vinetiari would get Mason Crosbyitis and miss 2 kick wide right. After another Big Ben pick which gave the ball to the colts at the steelers 38 the D tightened and CB Gay would pick off Manning. Willie Parker would run for a first and with the colts out of timeouts Big Ben would kneel on the bal and run out the clock.

    GG Kan

    Thanks for subbing again.

    Chiefs(0) @ Rams(35)

The Rams came into this game wanting to continue their win streak and keep feeding the ball to their beast of a running back, Steven Jackson
The first quarter would start of slow with both defenses locking down the offense. The first score would come with 52 seconds left in the first quarter when Bulger found backup TE davis wide open streaking towards the endzone.
Neither team would score in the 2nd with the defenses holding strong. Half time score 7-0
The third quarter was when the rams sealed the win for the week, starting with Jackson scoring on their second possession with a 9 yard TD pass. With the score getting out of hand, the cheifs started to force the pass a bit more. Both FS Dahl and CB Bartell scored on pick 6s to end the quarter with a score of 28-0
The fourth quarter was steven jackson time and he responded well by moving the chains and running the clock with ease. The rams only passed the ball once in the fourth and that pass resulted in Avery getting 3 broken ribs and being carted off the field.

Avery will be out 4 weeks and the Rams go into their bye week hoping to trade for a decent receiver to start until avery get better.
The Rams are on a roll averaging 32+ points a game and posting two shutouts in a row at home.

Raiders would host the San Diego Chargers in a key week 3 game. Chargers would get the ball first, after getting into Raiders territory the Chargers drive stahled and would be forced to punt. Raiders would take possesion and would run it a few times until they faced a 3rd down on their 31 yard line. Russell would hit Shilans on a quick slant and Shilans would take it 61 yards for the first TD of the game. Raiders would score again in the 2nd quarter on a 10 yard pass to Heyward-Bey to go up 14-0. Chargers were not out of it yet though, as they would mount a drive of their own and go 79 yards ending with a 2yd Tomlinson TD run to close the gap, 14-7.

Raiders would get the ball first to start the second half. Raiders would pound the ball left, right and middle until they got to the Chargers 16 yd line. Thats when FB O.Oneal would bulldoze his way for a 16 yd TD run to put the Raiders back up by two scores, 21-7. Raiders D was relentless and would bend but not break to a talented Charger offense. Raiders would force Rivers to throw 2 picks that killed drives and helped the Raiders with good field position. As the game wore on, the Raiders were lookin to sustain a long drive and eat the clock, but on a 3rd and 7 play, RB D.McFadden would take the screen pass and run it some 55 yds for another Raider TD. Leading 28-7 in the 4th the Raiders were still playin ball and it showed, as back-up RB M.Bush would bulldoze his way to a TD on a 10 yard run that would seal the game for the Raiders. Chargers would come alive in the final few minutes of the 4th, first with a nice drive only to come up short on the TD they settle for a FG and after holding the Raiders to a 3-an out they again drove down the field and with zero time on the clock, Rivers hit Barclay in the cornor of the endzone for a 15 yd TD strike. Fianal score, Raiders 35 Chargers 17

Russell was 9 of 10 for 186 yds and 3TDs
Raiders 4-RBs combined for 25 carries for 113 yards and 2 TDs

    Rivers was 22 of 35 for 268yds 2ints and 1 TD
Tomlinson and Sproles combined for 17 carries for 49 yds and 1 TD

GG Luis, GL rest of the seaon and we will c ya in San Diego for the Rematch.

There's no Gold in them their hills!

AP Report - The current MEGA bowl champs kicked off against the visiting Denver Bronco's Wednesday evening looking to get on the plus side of their bid to repeat as league champions. With some trading history between the two teams both coaches did a good job of keeping the paper banter to a minimum, but it was clear from the opening kick that both coaches wanted to make this a statement game.

Denver took the opening kick and managed a 52 yard field goal to open the scoring as the 49er defense flew to the ball and arrived with anger. On the opening 49er possession Shaun Hill would throw his first interception and the Denver defense started to roll.

The second quarter witnessed a point explosion as both team scored a combined 36 in the second frame with the visiting Bronco's closing it out leading 28-14 behind the thrid down heroics of FB/HB Peyton Hillis.

San Fran struggled to open the third quarter offensively but defensively the squad was a force, picking up two majors in 33 seconds to close out the 3rd quarter down 35-30 and all of the momentum.

Denver took the fourth quarter kick and drove down the field in rhythm, eating away the clock and finally sending Hillis in from 3 yards out to take the lead with about 4 minutes left in the game.

Hill stepped back on second down and forced a pass to Mike Crabtree (who finished with 8 rep, 155 yards and a score) that landed in the hands of veteran Champ Bailey who took it 43 yards for the games final score and a Denver road victory 49-30.

    Game Notes:

    Cassel was 20/28 275 yds 3 TD 1 INT
    Hill was 22/38 318 yds 1 TD 4 INT

    Johnson was 18 112yds 1 TD (a 69 yard run)
    Gore was 10 83 yards 3 TD (a 38 yard run)

    Crabtree was 8 155 1 TD
    Hillis was 5 73 and 2 TD

The traded WR's were no-factors as Brandon Marshall had just 3 repceptions for 34 yards and Josh Morgan reeled in one pass for 28 yards and was targeted just three times

SF's Willis made 9 solo stops and rookie DE William Tkach (on Denver's draft board) had 2 sacks.

FB Peyton Hillis was named the player of the game ... Denver was plus 3 ... and 7 for 12 (58%) on third downs ....

Now, Denver finanly gets to open up at home against the Seahawks in week 4 before getting ready for some tough divisional match-ups, including two within 3 weeks with the hated Raiders.

GG Gaddy ..... good luck the rest of the way .. great defense ...

    Browns win 2nd straight game

Browns upset the 2-0 Bengals at home, improve to 2-1.

    Cincy -

Mohamed Massaquoi was the big play guy for Cutler this game not the usual Braylon Edwards.

Massaquoi caught the final pass of the game on a crossing route that was open seemingly every play for a 61 yrd winning TD in OT he finished with 6 C for 129yrds and the TD.

Cutler had his best game turnover wise throwing just 1 INT and 2 TDS and 233 yrdsthe other one going to Edwards.

Urlacher had a sack and Pool had another INT this one he returned for a TD.

Pierre Thomas didn't break for alot of yards but he was a horse making it possible for short 2nd and 4rd downs as he averaged almost 4 or 5 yrds a carry.

The game went back and forth all game long then with 4th and 1 the Browns elected to go for the tie with the FG and go to OT.

They won the toss and the rest is history.

    Great Game Stealth.
