Well the Auburn Tigers take care of #3 LSU at home The game started out as a back and forth battle as the heavy weights slugged it out but then as they say "The Cream rose to the top" in the form of TE Phillip Lutz who dominated the LSU secondary with 9 catches for 295ygs and 4 tds.. K Fraizer the Auburn QB broke the school record for single game passin and was on target throwin the ball. Against a stingy LSU run D we where unable to get the ground game going but overcame it by our passin attack
    Auburn 52- LSU 32

We also had a majority of our top prospects on campus in a make or break recruiting weekend we will see if the early visit pays off or burns the Tigers down the road.

Miller Sprains Elbow in Buckeye's Blowout

Sophomore Quarterback Braxton Miller sprained his elbow during the second quarter of Ohio State's 34-0 victory over UAB today. Miller would not return to the game and, as of now, is listed as questionable for next week's matchup against Michigan State under the lights in East Lansing. "We are going to try to get him ready for next week's game, but we aren't going to force the issue and worsen the injury," said head coach Urban Meyer.

Ohio State played a conservative game offensively, especially after Miller left the game. Carlos Hyde followed up his breakout performance last week against Cal with 13 carries for 101 yards and a touchdown. It appears that Hyde is pulling away from Jordan Hall and will be the Buckeye's feature back for the foreseeable future.

Next week's game against Michigan State will be Ohio State's first road game of the season. If Miller isn't healthy enough to play, the Buckeye's will turn to junior Kenny Guiton.

    Key Contributors
Kenny Guiton: 6-11 for 58 yds, 2 TD

Carlos Hyde: 13 car, 101 yds, TD

John Simon: 3 tks, 3 solo, 3 TFL, 3 sacks

This week Vanderbilt travels to face the Georgia Bulldogs at Sanford Stadium. A game that should be an easy win for the Dawgs. It's clear that Georgia's defense has been the staple of their team so far this season. Ogletree and Jones will be clogging up the middle and reeking havoc. Murray and King will look to connect early and often in the passing game, while Malcome and Marshall look to run wild. I think everyone would be surprised if Georgia didn't win this game. As they look to continue their undefeated season, they'll have to stop Jordan Rodgers and Vanderbilt's offense. SEC play up next!

As the Badgers gear up for their final tune up game against UTEP before entering B1G play they are looking to become an efficent machine on the ground and work on being able to catch the ball. The last three weeks has seen a few timely drops in key situations (mainly 3rd down). The special teams will look to remain special, coming up with 4 touchdowns already in this young season.

Overall look for the badgers to throttle the visiting UTEP Miners.

    Badgers 38 Miners 24

The Badgers almost gave one away today. They went down early to the tune of 17-0. The Offense came out slow turning the ball over twice and the defense came out sluggish and could not stop the Miners on their first 2 drives. As the game progressed through the first half the Badgers found the sparks they were looking for in Montee Ball and Isaiah Williams both scoring on passes in the final 2 minutes of the first half. The Defensive line was completely non-existent the entire game, it was not until the end of the 4th quarter when the miners where attempting to tie the game that Sophmore Konrad Zagzebski came up with a sack and force fumble, and Junior Pat Muldoon returned the fumble 75 Yds for the touchdown.

Danny O'brien finished the game going 15/22 for 314 Yds 3 Tds and 1 INT
Montee Ball finished with 112 Yds rushing and 54 receiving and 2 scores putting his TD total on the season to 7

Malcome runs wild, Georgia wins again!

Time and time again the running game has gotten Murray to play better at the quarterback position. Today was absolutely no different. Something special is happening in Athens. A running duo is being born right before our very eyes. Malcome heading the assault had a monster day. He carried the ball 23 times for 194 yards and 3 touchdowns. His best carry was a 72 yard touchdown run. Marshall only had 11 carries for 34 yards, but still was able to find some running room. It seems as if the running game is boosting Murray's confidence. He had a much better game today then the past few weeks. He had 180 yards passing and 3 touchdowns/ 1 int. On the other side of the ball Georgia's defense stepped up and played hard today as they always do. Is there any wonder why they are so feared. Great performance by the Dawgs, things are looking up!

Next week Georgia faces Tennessee at Sanford Stadium. It should be a great one.

VA TECH DEFENSE PITCHES ANOTHER SHUTOUT
The Virginia Tech Hokies shutout a very game Bowling Green squad 34-0 in a rainy day at Lane Stadium. The defense was outstanding in the win allowing only 121 yards of total offense. "The defense didnt take Bowling Green lighty" said Coach Ransom after the game. He saw the defense fly around the ball making plays and causing havoc from start to finish. The defense caused 3 turnovers and 5 sacks with one of those turnover turning into a touchdown which started the scoring off for the Hokies. The defense thru 4 game as not allowed a touchdown and has only allowed 6 points. The offense was a bit dissapointing despite Logan Thomas throwing for 3 touchdowns. They were sloppy for most of the game and didnt start clicking until the 4th quarter. "We must be more consistent on offense in order for us to get where we want to be." says Coach Ransom. Next week in the Hokies travel to Cincy to take on the Bearcats and their no-huddle offense that averages close to 500 yards per game. Should be a good contest in Cincy.

IRISH BEAT RIVAL MICHIGAN 27-24 IN OT THRILLER

Coming off a painful road loss to rival Michigan State, the Irish defense was reeling after allowing over 52 points and 450 yards of offense as the result of poor tackling.

They didn't show any signs of it this week though as they held the high-octane Wolverines attack to 24 points. LB Manti Te'o led the charge with 9 tackles (2 for loss) and a sack as the Wolverines were held in check long enough for QB Tommy Rees to deliver the game winning TD to Tyler Eifert in OT, sealing a huge 27-24 win over jandy for the Fighting Irish.

The game was tight throughout as neither team ever led by more than one TD. The Irish got help from a huge 107 yard kick return by sophomore speedster RB George Atkinson. Atkinson took the ball in the center of the end zone and felt confident in front of his home crowd, running it straight up the middle while breaking 2 tackles and weaving through multiple defenders on the way to the end zone.

The athletic Wolverine secondary punished QB Tommy Rees all day, intercepting him 3 times and forcing coach Brian Kelly to sit Rees in the third quarter with the Irish trailing. On his first play, backup QB Everett Golson took a read option to the left side and slid between three tackles before making a 97-yard TD dash to tie the game at 21.

Neither team scored in the fourth quarter, and after a big stop by the Irish defense to hold Michigan to a field goal in the first OT, Rees
came back in for a tired Golson and delivered the winning strike to Eifert on third and goal.

The Irish have a bye to rest next week before facing off against historic rival Miami on Oct. 6 in South Bend.

With the bye week, look for Golson to get a lot more reps in practice. Won't say anything now, but Golson has a huge chance to win starting job. Rees is struggling in big moments.

Can the Tiger D keep Seminole Rodney Smith Under Wraps?? ***Update.... Kickoff @ 9pm CST***

Through three games thus far, senior receiver Rodney Smith has caught 13 balls for over a whopping 400 yards and 8 touchdowns while dropping only 1 pass.
Should Clemson play tight on Smith or back off and wait for possible mistakes? The Tiger defensive braintrust will be hard at work not only focusing on Smith but also on QB Manuel and sophomore speedster Devonta Freeman who has over 400 yards himself. Check below to see the Florida State season leaders to date.
