Played this one late last night (the little one would not go to sleep) so im bit foggy on the details. I know both my backs had over 20 carries and 90 plus yards. HB Jerry Williams had 3 rushing TD's. WR Jackie Williams had a big day, catching 8 balls, one for a TD. Most importantly, no turnovers by my offense! We finish our OOC schedule 3-1 (that damn Bama game still bugs me) and start the CUSA schedule next week taking on Army, I think.
Army defeats Notre Dame 38-28 and moves to 3-0 on the year. More wins than all of last season already. Transfer QB and SS are really making their presence felt for Army.
That qb you got is a beast.
Wish I had him another year. The SS is only a soph I think think though. Where is the QB from I cant remember?
Yeah I wish I had Sixmore for another year.
West Virgina. He was in the Rivals 100 for a bit last year and finished in the top 250.
Geez, our board has been dead today...Yall have done a horrible job of entertaining me while I'm at work...
Agreed. It's my bye week and at least I managed to sneak in some subtle humor into the weekly recap and even tried to inject some levity into a scheduling thread. WTF would y'all do without me.
Replace you with Fuzzylogic...
Yo guys just a heads up but I work a 12 tomorrow and I'm heading out oftown for the night. I've also got a project due Monday so if we advance tomorrow I won't be able to play until Monday (small chance Sunday night but not likely)
Kent St welcomes MTSU's new coach JMan. In his first conference game in H4Y, coach JMan hoped to start out with a bang.
He got his wish on Kent St's first possession as Golden Flash running back Rob Holloman busted open for a 15 yard run before getting hit and fumbling. MTSU safety Tom Barclay quickly scooped up the ball and took it to the house. However, on their next possession, QB Cedric McCloud would hit TE Gerald Johnson for a 64 yard touchdown pass. Johnson finished with 139 yards on the day. After several touchdowns, this one was over going into the 4th with Kent State leading 35-14. Both teams would swap cheap touchdowns for a 48-28 final.
Holloman takes MVP for 20 carries for 174 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Welcome to H4Y.
Dirtycash and Steamer, yall need to Fing play your game...I'm ready to move on...
What he said. But in a deeper voice.
Arkansas St - 49
UL-Monroe - 15
Arkansas State throttles ULM behind Hicks' 375 rushing yards
This looked like it was going to be a defensive struggle after ULM couldn't move the ball in the 1st and I threw a bad interception. But starting the 2nd, Arky State turned it on, especially 3rd string HB Eric Hicks, getting the first action of his college career with starter Jakhari Gore out for the year and his backup out for the next month. Hicks scored from 3 yards out on the first play of the 2nd, then on the kickoff the Red Wolves forced a fumble, and quickly turned it into another 7 points with a 20 yard pass from Jimmy Bell to Damian Ramsey. Monroe would answer quickly with a 50 yard pass to get within 7, but Arkansas State quickly responded with their own 53 yard bomb to Charles McPherson, who had 2 catches for 110 yards. After stopping Monroe on their next possession, Hicks would break a 73 yard run to put Arky State up 28-7. Before the half ended, Hicks ran another one for a touchdown, this one from 86 yards out.
The 2nd half saw Arky State stick to the run mostly and chew the clock, while Monroe continued to struggle. Hicks would get another 82 yard touchdown, and it was 49-7 before Monroe added a garbage time score. GG AJ, I know you had to be throwing your controller over there lol even I wasn't expecting my 3rd string 63OVR HB to tear it up
Dirtycash must be scared of Steamer cuz he seems to be ducking him...
lost 34-27. Turned it over 5 times on 3 fumbles and 1 tipped int while Dirty had none. Had the ball on 4th down at the 2 with 6 seconds left and threw a pass that got batted out of my WRs hands that would have gone to OT. fuaaaak
Dang it. Hope you stay ranked and our game is on tv.
still #22 & #24
