EMU continues living right with a 50-43 win over Akron. That's 3 in a row for those counting at home. D+ pitches all around next year!

Sloppy times in Dat U, as the Redhawks sleepwalk through their game with Ball State.

This will be a very spartan bye week for Miami after their weak performance in a 52-29 win in Muncie. Coach Roadhouse is taking away one spirit fluffer from nearly all of the starting skill players on offense. Defensive players will have their expense account at the Players Club severely reduced.

"If players cannot show the neccesary urgency in repairing this program, I will continue to find players that will give me a full four quarters of effort. What I saw vs. Ball State was not a full effort. We were sloppy, lazy, and had no inspiration. That is a reflection on me and the coaching staff, and I am not happy about our performance."

The press seemed stunned the coach would go off after his team won by 22. "These players are rewarded handsomely for a full effort, and we expect value for the investment. When we don't see those returns...well, I feel cheated."

In Coach Roadhouse's crosshair were the QBs and receivers. Jack Black was wild again, with no weather to blame, and he was pulled at halftime. Surprise freshman backup, Willie Beamon, was given the chance to protect a 31-7 lead. Beamon is a 4 star ATH that was projected for HB duties, but during his workouts he rated a 69 OVR at QB and that was good enough for 2nd place on the depth chart. He went 3 of 10, but showed heart in rushing for 55 yards, including a sweet long TD run.

But he was victimized by Baylor Paws, as the whole team had 11 drops. Come on, man. Some were wide open drops, we lost a few dagger TDs, and it was ugly. Peter Tosh looked nervous and over matched at the Division 1 level. But even Rick James, Coltraine, and his Freshness were dropping shit like a pigeon.

The defense failed to produce turnovers, and that gives the opposing teams a chance to build rythem and sustain drives. In the first half, the D was the star of the game. In the second half, they were almost the goat. They gave up 22 points in the second half, and Ball State almost turned this into a game.

"That lack of focus will not be tolerated any longer. Once we get to our in-conference schedule, we will not see mercy from our foes. We need to produce wins, not drama. And our payroll is such that we're due a better effort. If you don't want to work this hard, these guys can transfer to BDawg's team over at Digital Sports."

And with that, the Coach was escorted to his Maybach by Allison and Aurora...for some post-press conference stress relief.

The Broncos go to Toledo to pull off a win 35-25 win there 1st of the year.

    1st Q:
The game started off with Toledo throwing a 63 yd bomb for the score my DB's were still in the locker room. Then my QB had to be woke up to come in the game and go 3 and out asap. They drive back down and score again 13-0 really fast and coach Limbo was Livid. QB Olsen comes off the bench to throw a nice TD pass to smith for 44 yds and then the D holds and he throws another this time to Kenny "golden arches" Macdonald.
    We go up 14-13.

    2nd Q:
Olsen arm all warmed up throws a 67 yard pass to HB Hagen who had a monster game going over 100 rush and rec to put us up 21-13. Toledo strikes right back with a quick score and miss the 2pt conversion. 21-19 Olsen leads the team back down the field to hit the Golden Arches Macdonald again for his 2nd rec TD. 28-19 Half time.

    3rd Q:
Nuthing but Turn overs Olsen goes in at the half, arm gets cooled off and the throws 3 picks. Defense hold nice.

    4th Q:
Olsen arm warms up leads a nice drive to hit Smith for his 2nd TD of the game and giving Olsen 5TD passes and well over 300yds.
Toledo not wanting to go away scores again but it would not be enough. We win 35-25.

    Coach notes and Quotes:

"Nice game not many drops and Olsen has secured his spot as the starter despite throwing 10 ints in the 1st 3 games."

"Defense has played well all year and with our Offense getting Starting HB Johnson back soon we look to turn up the heat in the MAC"

"YOU PLAY FOR US YOU GET PAID"

    "Limbo out"
