Chicago, IL -- The Bears came into the game looking to right the ship coming off of two losses in a row. They needed the win before heading into the bye week to give them something to build on when they face the Redskins in week 6. Bears QB Jay Cutler had some things to say to his team before they took the field, when pressed he responded, "They guys know what to do. We all know where we're at and where we want to go. I just told them that we're going to win this game. That I believed in each in every one of them and we're going to turn this team around together."

Whatever he said seemed to reverberate on the field. Cutler, had a couple of bad throws throughout the game but was poised for the most part in poor, rainy conditions. Both teams struggled in the first quarter offensively, but the Bears were able to break through late in the quarter when Cutler was able to connect with WR Alshon Jeffrey on an out pattern to out them up a touchdown.

The Titans were able to strike back when Cutler threw a poor ball that was intercepted to give the Titans a short field to work with that they capitalized on when Mettenberger hit Kendall Wright for a touchdown to even it up. The Bears were able to score again when Jay Cutler hit Brandon Marshall on a bomb in which the WR climbed the ladder to get.

The Titans came back yet again to make the score 14-14 when RB Bishop Sankey scored on a 23 yard play. The Bears had the chance late to take the lead yet again on an interception that was ran back for a touchdown by rookie FS Peniel Ratliff but a roughing the passer call by Cornelius Washington brought the play back and set up the Titans for a long field goal to make the score 17-14 Titans at half.

Midway through the 3rd quarter the Titans went up by 10 on a great reception and run after the catch by WR Kendall Wright for his second on the day. The Bears brought it back to a 7 point game late in the third when their drive was cut short, but Robbie Gould was able to convert on a field goal.

The Titans looked to be driving and in great position for another touchdown when Bears rookie linebacker Sateki Swain made one of the plays of the game intercepting Mettenberger and turning the tide back to the Bears. Swain has made quite an impact so far in his young career and if he keeps playing the way he is currently, could be in the running for defensive rookie of the year.

Jay Cutler and the Bears offense took advantage of the interception on the next drive when Cutler caught the Titans Safety sleeping and Alshon Jeffrey was able to secure the long pass for a huge touchdown.

Late in the game the Titans were driving and were deep in Bears territory and could have kicked the field goal to put them up three, but instead elected to go for it and the Bears defense was able to make a huge stop to give them the ball back that led to the field goal which sealed the game.
