Romo looks over the Packer D
This game started very poorly for the Cowboys and looked to be much of the same lousy effort we had against the 49ers where we couldnt block or hold onto the ball.
We started with a three and out, first down loss of three for Jones that was followed by a quick sack and a bad throw from Romo.
The 12 MPH wind and driving rain would have a profound effect on both teams in this game but it kicked us first.
The Packers moved the ball with ease scoring two tds in the first qtr to lead 14-0.
Rookie RB Boutte was running wild and free untouched for two mid teen TD runs.
The Cowboys got something going and WR Foster who followed his old coach over from St Louis found the endzone on an out route to pull us withing seven.
The second qtr brought the wind at our backs and we took full advantage marching down the field three times twice for tds and once hitting the wrong button taking a knee rather then spiking the ball with no timeouts and watching the half run out on us...
Romo was the first half comback player of the game tossing the ball all over the place and hitting seven different receivers.
Second half the Pack moved the ball for a TD, I think to huge TE Finley.
Then the Cowboys were driving again moved into the packer redzone and Romo got hit lost the ball in the air and it was grabbed by BJ Raji who outran everyone for a 75 yard TD...
The Cowboys would strike quickly as Felix Jones caught a pass turned on the burners and made a nifty cutback move for a 78 yd answer and we are tied at 28.
We would then miss a FG, opening the door for the packers who looked to take advantage.
Boutte was rumbling off tackle when he got hammered by SS Savage who caused the fumble, Jenkins fell on the ball giving us life.
Romo directed a great drive mixing pass and run and hitting WR Foster again on an out route into FG range.
The Cowboys kicker kicked the FG with no time left to win the game in dramatic fashion.
This was a close intense game and very well played by both teams.
This kind of game makes madden fun, great sim coach who mixes up play calling and place a cool brand of D.
    GG Kap.
