Matt Ryan and the Falcons desperately needed a good showing in Seattle after the poor showing in Tampa Bay a week ago. They came into a tough environment, in posibly one of the loudest NFL stadiums, and played hard against the Seahawks.
The game was 13-10 Atlanta, with a Matt Ryan TD pass to Julio Jones and a Marshawn Lynch long TD run, when, in the 3rd quarter and Seattle's ball, the game disconnected (bummer).
So, the teams started fresh, and the Falcons came out red hot.
After a Falcon FG (gift to get the score to the way it was before the DC), the Falcon defense stepped up and intercepted a Tavaris Jackson pass, setting the Falcons up with decent field position. The Falcons drove down the field, converting a couple key 3rd downs, and Michael Turner ran it into the endzone from 2 yards out to cap the drive. The Falcons then led 20-10. After a quick 3-and-out for the Hawks, the Dirty Birds handed it off to Turner again and he busted a run of 46 yards for another TD to put the Falcons up 27-10 with 2:05 left in the 3rd quarter. The Falcon defense forced another Jackson INT, and gave it to Turner from 2 yards out for his 3rd TD of the game, to put the Falcons up 34-10 with only 6:45 left in the game. On the ensuing kick, Forsett coughed up the ball and Lito Sheppard recovered for the Falcons. Atlanta ran the ball 3 times and kicked a FG to seal the deal with 4:42 left in the game and the score 37-10.
