In a game of strong defenses, Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez had some early success moving the ball down the field spreading it to different receivers. However, near the end of the first half Sanchez suffered a partial PCL tear on a long touchdown pass. Sanchez would not return to the game, though he should return next week. Backup QB Tim Tebow was given the reigns to the Jets offense and could not deliver. After overthrowing an easy touchdown by 15 yards, Tebow threw a pick to Patrick Willis down 24-14 seemingly shutting the door on any hopes to win the game. After getting the ball back after the two minute warning on their own 5 yard line, Tebow was able to piece together a handful of long completions culminating in a touchdown pass to Chad Johnson with 47 left on the clock. After failing to have any previous success with onside kicks, somehow the Tebow magic caused the Niners' special team to not hold onto the ball and the Jets would recover the attempt. With no timeouts remaining, Tebow threw two quick but long completions to Santonio Holmes and Stephen Hill. After spiking the ball, kicker Josh Brown faced a 53 yard attempt to send the game into overtime. Brown was already 0-2 on the day narrowly missing both attempts due to misjudging the 14 mph winds in the Meadowlands. Brown's potential game-tying attempt had the distance and flew straight, but somehow began to curve the opposite direction of the wind and narrowly missed wide right. This tough loss puts the Jets at 1-3 and has given the team a big sense of urgency to win now.

Same to you man............was damn near Tebow Time out there..he wasnt a factor at all when he first got in the game..we sent pressure at him and tried to confuse him with some zones..and he was throwing the ball way off target...but he did some good things for you as well, but in the end, the magic didnt happen the way you wanted it to...and I for one am glad....cause when you recovered that kick....I was like WTF :)

49ers loss both MLB's in this game, Willis and Bowman...Willis will be back next week...Bowman will miss 3 weeks.
