Aggies Earn Another
SMU at Texas A&M
In their first game ranked at number 1, the Aggies did not disappointment on offense. Johnny Manziel started 8/8 on the first 4 drives and all ending in a TD, the score at half was 38-7. As for the defense, this was their worse game this year, after their great defense performance last week against Alabama, we are hoping this game was just a hangover from that one. The Aggies had 4 different players with over 100 rushing yards as they offensively cruised in the 2nd half. Final score 79-38 Aggies who are now 3-0, 1-0 in Conference play
Player of the Game:
Ben Malena with 180 yards on 24 carries and 5 TDs
Trey Williams who replaced Malena in the fourth rushed for 122 yards on 9 carries and 2 TDs
Taylor Bertolet remained perfect on the year hitting 3/3 on FGs and 10/10 on XPs totaling 19 pts

Alabama Burns Cupcake Colorado State 38-3
In a week four match up that The Tide was heavily favored in they put on a defensive clinic by holding CSU to just 89 total offensive yards, forcing 2 turnovers in the forms of INTs, and broke through the O-line 3 times for sacks. Deion Belue recieved defensive player of the game for returning a pick for a TD. AJ McCarron recieved offensive player of the game honors as he went 5-9 for 58 yards and 1 TD through the air to a lone receiver Brian Vogler and 4 rushes for 20 yards and 2 TDs. Other relevant stats for the Tide were Cade Foster's 30 yard FG, TJ Yeldon's 26 rushes for 139 yards and 2 TDs, John Fulton's INT, 4 pancakes by Cyrus Koundijo, and sacks by Pagan, Mosley, and Stinson. CSU's QB Smith went 6-26, had 2 INTs, and 87 passing yards. CSU's RB Nwoke was held to 15 yards off of 8 rushes. CSU's kicker made the only points for CSU off of a 36 yard FG.
TJ Yeldon started the beating with a spectacular 18 yard rush for a TD in the first quarter. Yeldon's run was the only score in the first quarter but The Tide opened up for 10 points in the second quarter with a Cade Foster field goal just after the 5 minute mark and a 6 yard TD pass by McCarron to Vogler with 7 seconds left in the half. Alabama then received the kickoff to start the third quarter which was their highest scoring quarter with 21 points. The Tide drove down the field to the 1 yard line where AJ McCarron punched it in on a QB Sneak. Then after getting the ball back quickly CSU's defense had deja vu when AJ McCaron again sneaked into the endzone from the 1 yard line. Shortly after the beginning of the next CSU drive Smith threw it away to Deion Belue who put 6 points on the board with a spectacular return that got the fans out of their seats. There wasn't much excitement afterwards however because the only points scored after were CSU's only 3 points late in the third quarter and The Tide's second team offense was subbed in to start the fourth quarter. This was a much needed win for The Tide after a heartbreaking loss to Texas A&M which was the only team to elude them last season on their road to a National Championship.
CAL had a bye to figure what went wrong vs OSU ... coach dykes said we were horrible on offense defense and special teams ...coach franklin is hinting at burning true frosh jared goffs blue shirt (that's what we call it around these parts)...too many picks by way of by reads and way too many missed tackles ...Coach closed practice ... its time to look within " andy buh cals defensive coordinator "
