    Week 4: Seattle (42) San Diego (39)

The Seahawks pull out a squeaker as they manage to leave San Diego with a three point victory.

The game started off with the Chargers just dominating the Seahawks defense in their first two drives to make the score 0-14. But the Seahawks defense knew that they had to step it up and they did when Darren Sproles muffed a punt. Rashean Mathis ended up picking up the punt after a big hit on sproles and returned it for a touchdown to close the gap. On the very first play of the Chargers next drive Tomlinson coughs up the ball and the Clinton Portis managed to take advantage of it and runs it in for a TD. The Chargers managed to throw on another field goal in the second quarter, but was answered by a Hasselbeck to Brandon Marshall TD pass to end the half. The game would be 21-17 going into the second half.

On the very first play of the second half Hasselbeck finds Deon Branch behind the safety and corner to take it to the house for a 74 yard td. The Chargers struggled a lot offensively in the third quarter scoring 0 points while the Seahawks scored another TD to make it 35-17 going into the final quarter.

This is where the Seahawks almost squandered the game as they let San Diego score 22 unanswered points with Antonio Gate's third TD reception of the game to take the lead. With time running out Hasselbeck drives the Seahawks down to the 33 yard line only to get sacked on second down. With 45 seconds left Hasselbeck finds Marshall on another TD pass on third and 18 as Nelson tried to jump the ball to early to give Seattle the lead.

The game wasn't over yet as the Chargers have shown, they can score from anywhere on the field. On third down with 24 seconds Rivers finds Jackson along the sideline for a big catch, but as Jackson is going down he coughs the ball up and Mathis recovers it to end the game.
