The Hoyas limit the Golden Flashes to just 3 points as the defense was swarming all day. The Hoya offense was also effective as Dan Jones threw for over 350 yards and 4 touchdowns while Ronald Sims rushed for 190 yds and two scores of his own.

Do you know a good playbook with a lot of I-formation, but also some shotgun formations that include running plays for the QB?

Va Tech is probably your best bet... Gun with a good mix in the I formation run game...

just a question how long does everybody have before we declare our books and styles?

Cornell Wins Shortened Battle of the Running Attacks over Delaware

    Cornell 34-Delaware 17.

Damn You EA!!! The words came shouting from the hills in Ithaca, NY all the way from Delaware and even back here. The Cornell Big Red and the Delaware Blue Hens had an epic battle going late into the third quarter with the score 31-17 when the dreaded words of disconnection and dis-satisfaction hit the fan. The fourth quarter was super-simmed without much excitement. However, let's talk about the actual, interesting football that happened in this Spread Option Run attack vs Triple Option attack game.

After Delaware was stopped on their first possession, Cornell would take the ball and would drive down the field to make it 7-0. Delaware would take the ball on their next possession and would score a FG to make the score 7-3. However, Cornell's offense would continue to do their thing running the ball and would take advantage of a wide open center of the field to set up their second TD to make the score 13-3. Delaware however pulled off something that I deemed to be near impossible in a NCAA iteration game, A BLOCKED PAT. The entire stadium, the entire world's mouths were aghast at what they had just seen. I have a feeling this is what caused the breakdown in the second half as EA couldn't handle how epic this game was about to become.

Delaware on their final possession of the first half would drive the ball down the field and with only a few seconds left, bouncing off of a Cornell tackler, Delaware would pound it in to make it 13-10 at halftime.

In the second half, Cornell would take the opening possession down the field for a FG to make the score 16-10, only to have Delaware respond with another impressive TD drive of their own at 17-16. However, lightning would strike twice for Cornell. On the ensuing kickoff, Cleveland would run the kickoff return back for a TD; throw in a successful 2 point conversion and the score was now 24-17. On Delaware's next possession, the Cornell defense would cause a fumble that was also ran back for a TD to make the score 31-17. Then the internets of the world die and a quick sim of the rest of the game ensued. I believe it was about 1:00 left or so in the 3rd quarter. It was in one of those no win situations... too late in the game to really restart it, too late to play it out, so we just let the sim gods take care of the rest and the game ended pretty uneventful at 34-17.

My team had played phenomenal on offense and were playing decent defensively, although Mr. GridironGuru was running his offense to near perfection in the second half. It's a shame that it ended the way that it did and I do feel bad for Mr. Guru. However, him and I both agree that we're looking forward to our third encounter to make up for the lack of drama at the end.

xGRIDIRONxGURUx ; Great game sir. It's a shame we didn't get to finish this one out. However, I'll take any win that I get in this god forsaken game, especially one where I was actually playing pretty well as well, not making a single turnover on the contest up to that point.
