ALABAMA holds off the Gaytors, 34-27 at home.

Alabama continues their National Championship push with a close win over the pesky Gaytors. The Tide started out very slowly offensively and dug themselves into a 21-10 hole late in the 2nd quarter. Luckily, Mark Ingram, Trent Richardson and Julio Jones all play for the Tide as the trio pretty much single-handedly put the Tide on top and kept it that way. Ingram was given POTG honors as he had another 100 yard rushing performance and a 47 yard TD reception. Star Jackson threw two TDs upping his season stats to 8 TDs and only 1 INT for the first year starter. Defensively Alabama was horrendous. The Florida offense was just as effective as Alabama's. UofA's secondary was giving it up like a 2 dollar whore and the front seven was equally awful.

Here is a sound bite from Saban at halftime.

Maryland goes on the road and wins a rivalry game against Virginia, 33-23. Once again, Maryland players are trying to perfect their tackling techniques. Maryland handled the Cavaliers for the most part, but it was their yards after contact that kept them in it.

I will post some stats after I get back online.

Maryland is now 5-0 on the season and taking names in the ACC. At #20 going into this game, the Terps hope to continue the climb toward #1.

    Ohio State 24, Indiana 8

Ohio State does Indiana by a 24-8 count in Bloomington. The Buckeyes build an early lead but struggle offensively in the second half. The Bucks total 375 yards and hold the Hoosiers under 200. Terrelle Pryor has a decent day throwing the ball while RB Saine had over 100 rushing yards and a fantastic long touchdown run.

One broken ankle coming in ... 3..2..1
