The Cougars lost 27-21...some things in this game drive me crazy..I mean pretty much every drive Stanford scored on we had either dropped an interception or failed to pick up a fumble. Then, at the end of the game had a guy wide open on fourth down for a TD and it was over thrown.

Pretty pissed off, my season's over..I'll do a summary later.

Well with only a single conference loss I don't think your season is OVER lol. Losses like that can be frustrating as hell though, so I can resonate with that!

Cal upsets #2 Oregon State in Corvalis 35-20! Summary coming tonight.

    Colorado 19
    Oregon 17

Colorado picks up a big win on the road thanks to a last second field goal to win the game. Oregon started this game off up 3-0 scoring as the 1st quarter expired, but Colorado answered back with 10 unanswered to go into the half with the lead 10-3. Colorado lost their starting running back Malloy for the rest of the game, and 4 more weeks which really hurt the Buffalo offense. Oregon looked inspired to start the 2nd half and score quickly to tie the game at 10. Colorado would then score twice more, but both were field goals. Oregon would strike again to go up 17-16 with under 2 minutes left in the game. Colorado would come up with a few big plays and get into field goal range to drain a field goal as time expired. Mike Gutierrez came up with his 4th straight 100 yard game and also added a touchdown. The Buffaloes will face off against UCLA in 2 weeks, who ran them out of the stadium last year, after they have there bye this upcoming week.

    Week 5
Any publicity Washington State thought of receiving can be thrown out the window after this game. A close lost to Michigan at the Big House had some people thinking they could hold their own in the PAC 12, but they made the same mistakes as last week and failed to capitalize on big plays.
Two years in a row we've let Stanford off the hook missing wide open TDs that would've won us the game. Luckily, this isn't the end of the world and the Cougars have to forget about the loss and focus on a Arizona State next week to avoid falling below .500.
Todd started off the game on the wrong foot, throwing an interception (5 now on the season) that was returned 76 yards for a TD. He was able to shake it off and scored on an 18 yard TD run with 1:26 remaining in the first. Stanford was able to answer back with a TD of their own, and capitalized on a missed blocking assignment by pinning Todd in the end zone for a safety.
The Cougars received the ball at half trailing 16-7, and Stanford put the game out of reach scoring on a 2 yard TD pass and converting the 2 points.
As always, Washington State put the game back in striking distance with an 86 yard TD pass from Todd to Brunner at the end of the third quarter, and a 50 yard TD run by Todd at the beginning of the fourth quarter. But "as always", Washington State falls short missing a wide open man late in the game to turn the ball over.
Final Score - Stanford 27 Washington State 21

Big Plays & Strong Defense: Cal Overpowers Beavers in Corvalis 35-20

A storied rivalry would add another chapter with a matchup of two top 5 teams. California entered Corvalis as the the #5 ranked team in the nation. Oregon State, reigning Pac-12 Champions, entered the contest ranked #2 in the country. Coach IrishBearcat took the field with a 3-2 record against Coach Noffke, but the Beavers had won the last two meetings. College Gameday chose Reser Stadium as their location for CFB game of the week. The experts liked Oregon State to win at home and to tie the series at 3-3 due to their talent and record on their home field.
Oregon State won the toss and elected to differ until half. California took the football and didn't wait long to get the offense going. On their first play they hit WR Dwayne Anderson on an out route to pick up big yardage. The very next play of the game RB Shaun Young found a way to burst threw a pile of defenders and rumbled 51 yards for a touchdown! Down 0-7 OSU leaned on Heisman favorite, QB Ryan Smith, to lead them down the field. Smith forced and errant pass into coverage and was picked off. The Beaver defense play tough and forced a Cal punt. The Golden Bears pinned OSU inside the 5 yard line. Cal's defense continued to dominate and forced a punt. Cal began a drive that spanned into the second quarter. On 3rd and long QB Marlon Davis hit WR Anthony Carpenter on an 18 yard TD with him wide open in the back of the end zone. Cal entered halftime shutting out the #2 team and boasted a 14-0 lead.

The third quarter the game started to really pick up pace. Oregon State began moving the chains on their first drive on several key third-down situations. Inside the 10 yard line QB Ryan Smith took a sack and OSU settled for a field goal to cut the deficit to 11 points. The ensuing drive QB Marlon Davis had problems with the properly getting the snap from center Zachary Rouse. Davis kept his composure and located WR Chip Curry wide open streaking down the side line and hit him in stride for a 65 yard touchdown! Cal lead 21-3 and looked to be in control of the game after forcing another Oregon State interception. On the next drive QB Marlon Davis located a Beaver safety creeping up into the box and made the OSU defense pay. He hit WR Dwayne Anderson on a 47 yard touchdown with nobody covering him to move Cal a head 28-3.

Oregon State refused to back down and seized the momentum right back by housing the kick 98 yards for a touchdown due to a great return by Isaac Turner. California stunned the Beaver crowd by answering with a KR touchdown of their own: Chip Curry returned the ensuing kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown as well! The Golden Bears lead 35-9 entering the 4th quarter after a failed 2-point conversion attempt by Oregon State.
Oregon State added the only points of the fourth quarter on a field goal and a touchdown run that executed a 2-point coversion. After an onside kick Ryan Smith forced his third interception of the day into coverage which iced the ball game. Cal secured the upset in Corvalis and improved to 4-0 with a win over Oregon State and Coach Noffke.

Tomorrow night at 10:30 it looks like.

We'll wait on it because it's within the 48 hours. We won't longer than midnight. Everyone should use this time to update their weekly content threads and get their game summary stuff done.

    Week 6
Huskies Put up Strong Second Half Effort to Nab Important Win
    [IMG]
Washington would strike first in this one, as Kyle Davis hit Moore in the endzone for a 10 yard TD. VT responded with a long drive, capped off by a short TD run. VT scored on another run in the second quarter, this time a 33 yard scamper by Blake Johnson. Davis hit Moore for another receiving TD, finding him open deep for a 40 yard TD haul. Washington forced a punt, and put a FG before the half. 17-14 Washington.
The Huskies dominated the third quarter, not allowing VT to cross the 50 and they put up another FG and a short receiving TD by the freshman TE Bobby Bates. Washington maintained a 27-14 lead going into the fourth. Dan Adams sparked some life into the Hokies with a deep 63 yard TD bomb to John Archer. Davis found McNamara on two consecutive drives for TD receptions (18 and 51 yarders) to seal the deal, Washington comes out on top 41-21.
