Pitt Hands PSU 1st L in Battle for PA! This was a huge win for Pitt and it could set the tone for a big season. The game would not start off well for the Panthers as Myers would throw two INTs that would both end up as TDs for Penn State. PSU would also pick a FG at the end of the first quarter to put them up 17-0. After a talk by the coach, at the end of the quarter, Pitt would come out all fired up. Pitt's first score would come on a 46 yard TD pass from Myers to Jones to cut the PSU lead to 10. Pitt would get the ball back quickly and score again on a run by Davis. Paul Jones Penn State QB would then throw a pick with 1 minute left till half time his first of 4 in this game. Myers would drive the team down the field and he would finish the drive off with another TD pass to Jones this time it was from 6 yards out. This score would put the Panthers out to a four point lead at halftime. Both defenses would stand tall in the third quarter with the only score coming on a FG by the Panthers. In the fourth quarter Pitt would put the game away. Isaac Bennett would put Pitt up by 14 on a 1 yard TD run. Eric Williams would then put the cap on this game with a pick 6.

Idaho Game To Start, Can't Keep Pace Vols Roll 34-10 Fat Men Dancing: Brought To You By UT Athletics. Idaho put up a strong effort but was overwhelmed by the faster and more talented Vols. Tyler Bray was again unimpressive with 2 INT's and less than 200 yards passing. Thankfully, the Vols could churn some rushing yards out to make up for it. Neal Young (No...not that Neal Young, the combo of Rajon Neal and Devrin Young) combined for 229 yards on 33 carries and scored 3 times. After allowing a long TD run on the first play, the defense stiffend up and kept the Vandals to 209 yards of offense. Next up for Tennessee is a return to SEC East action with the Georgia Bulldogs visiting Neyland Stadium.
