This divisional matchup looked like it was gonna be a battle of the defenses at first, as the halftime score was only 10-8 Bears, with too many 3 and out's to count. The second half was different however, as the Bears continued playing their suffocating D, but the Vikings did not.

The scoring started in the first after a Christian Ponder sack and fumble. The Bears got the ball and punched it in from 2 yds out with a few short runs by Matt Forte. The next Vikings possession resulted in another turnover, as the Vikings drove down the field, then Ponder was picked off by Nick Roach inside the 10 yard line. The Vikings would make up for it though, constantly bringing heavy pressure, and getting Jay Cutler for a safety to make it 7-2.

The second quarter saw a bunch of three and outs before Ponder hooked up with Visanthe Shiancoe for a 47 yard TD pass with 1:46 to go in the half. Shiancoe would be Ponder's go-to guy throughout the day as he was probably targeted another 3-4 times as well. Robbie Gould would hit a 41 yd FG as time expired to give the Bears momentum going into the second half, as well as a 10-8 lead.

The Vikings continued bringing their heavy blitzes in the 3rd quarter, but the Bears finally capitalized, with Jay Cutler hitting an uncovered Johnny Knox for a 59 yard TD pass after Knox's defender blitzed from the nickel spot. That was the first TD in a 27-0 run which included a 53 yard Gould FG, and then two TD passes to veteran TE Desmond Clark, one for 67 yards and one for 19 yards. These were also a result of the Vikings bringing heavy blitzes leaving guys wide open.

The Vikings would try to make a comeback with Ponder hitting WR Percy Harvin deep for a 79 yd TD to make it 34-15 with just under 5 minutes to play, but it wasn't in the cards. On the ensuing possession, Matt Forte broke off a 76 yard TD run on a stretch play to give you your final score 41-15. GG Jon Jon.
