The Bengals for the second game in a row have found some defense that combined with a a willingness to run the ball led to a victory over Houston. Houston came out quick as AJ could not be covered to take a 7-0 lead. After some exchange of punts and field position and a couple split turnovers the Bengals finally tied it at 7 on a Benson 1 yd plunge. The Bengals would have another late half drive but Will Witherspoon who was all over the place for the Texans stepped up but with a pick at the goal line. The Texans responded with a FG taking a 10-7 lead in to the half.

The second half Cincy would continue to run and play solid D locking down AJ as much as you can lock him down and running tough even though not for big yards but moving the chains at least. Ced Benson would break through for another 1 yd TD at the end of the 4th making it 14-10 Cincy. The Bengals got the ball again but would shank a FG giving Houston some life. The Texans went on a long 4th quarter march but Lagarette Blount fumbled deep in Cincy territory taking the life out of the visiting team. The Bengals answered with a 54 yd FG and a 7 point 4th quarter lead. Matt Schaub was picked on the next drive and the Bengals would run some clock ending in another FG this time from 19 yards out icing the game. Final in this one 20-10 a real hard fought tough game solid D by both sides but in the end the turnovers (4) by Houston did them in. GG Duval that fumble and a late PI call really did not help you out.

    Palmer 24-38-333 1 pick 0 TD's
    Benson 23-84 2 TD's
    Gresham 4-121 yds
    Babineaux 7 tackles 2 ints
