The Broncos made the trek to sunny San Diego for a week 6 divisional matchup with the AFC West lead. The Broncos drew first blood with a FG on their first possession after a Charger punt. The Chargers did finally answer after a couple of possessions with a 45 yard Andre Johnson TD from breakout rookie QB Josh Torres.

Lindsey Clarke's rough day started on the ensuing possession when Brandon Flowers intercepted a pass. The Chargers capitalized on the turnover with a Ryan Mathews TD on the goaline making it 14-3 Chargers. The Broncos tried to answer with a long FG attempt with a strong wind in their favor but came up just short. Their defense responded with a strong goaline stand forcing the Chargers to settle for 3.

The Broncos answered with a FG of their own shortly before half but that would be their last points of the contest. Amond Curry had a strong performance with 99 yards on 21 carries. The bruiser of a Running Back has a real shot at becoming a dominant force in the league. But Lindsey Clarke struggled against the stout Charger Defense passing for just 49 yards.

The Chargers sealed the victory with a Dwayne Allen TD catch pushing the lead to 24-6.
