It was a tale of two stories in the Mercedes Benz Superdome in week 6. One run game was dominant, while the other was pretty dormant. The Saints lead back Mark Ingram rushed for over 130 yards on the ground while adding a grand total of three touchdowns. Carolina on the other hand rushed for a total of 19 yards and just could never get anything going. The Saints were in control of this game throughout for the most part, but the "nail in the coffin" per say came in the third quarter when Ingram broke a 58 yard run and took it to the house. The Saints also won the war in the trenches as they amassed 5 sacks on a battered Cam Newton. The final score would end up being 28-11, Saints. This was the Saints 2nd win over the Panthers in just 3 weeks, as they completed the sweep over the Panthers.
