    Tulane 38 Houston 21
The opening half was a shoutout as both teams scored touchdowns on all three of their possesions. Tulane ended the half with a game tying touchdown with :26 seconds left on the clock. They would recieve the second half kickoff with a chance to take their first lead of the game. A Barnett 1 yd plunge would give Tulane just that and the Green Wave would never surrender it.
The Tulane defense come out in a 3-4 for the first time this year and had trouble with Houston's balanced attack, especially the run. Houston RB Beall had 100 yds in the 1st half. He ended up with 100 yards as Tulane stiffened up and started bringing the heat. By the 4thqtr Houston was down 10 points and abandoned the run game, which allowed Tulane to start dialing up the blitzes. The Green Wave defense would end up with 6 sacks.
Tulane's offense was a model of consistency:
    Score: 38
    1st downs: 18
    Rushing: 38-141-3
    Passing: 18-20 205yds 2td's 0int's
3rd down: 6-10 (really 6-8, two came by kneeling)
Red Zone: 7-4-1 (really 5-4-1, two came by kneeling)

Im not gonna do a full blown summary for my game...

Kent State played Army. We overmatched them in every aspect of the game, final score was 31-14... but the game wasnt even that close.

Army scored on two freak broken play long runs and kent state tossed a couple of INTs to keep the game more interesting.

    Buffalo @ Akron

Buffalo beats Akron 31-14 behind another solid rushing performance by Brandon Thermilus 112 yds and a TD. The story of the game was an injury to starting QB Zach Maynard who will be sidelined 3 weeks with a groin pull. Back up QB Chris Jorgenson played well and had 221 yds threw the air and 1 TD no ints. The game wasnt as close as the score would indicate as The Zips scored a couple of TD's late in the game, 1 with 6 secs left.

Buffalo moves to 3-2 and 2-0 in conf

ARKANSAS STATE WINS CLOSE ONE WITH LOUISIANA MONROE, 23-21

ARKANSAS STATE WINS CLOSE ONE WITH LOUISIANA MONROE, 23-21

    [IMG][IMG]

The Arkansas State Red Wolves found a way to win against the Louisiana Monroe Warhawks. With the Red Wolves best three players out for the next few weeks, they had to find alternative options to get a win. At times it was rough but some key players did shine, sealing a close win for Arkansas State.

The Red Wolves defense took a step backward allowing 352 yards of total offense with 248 in the air and 104 on the ground. They did not force any turnovers unlike their counterpart.

Arkansas State offense was stepped up once again, showing why they have the best offense in the Sun Belt with 494 total yards. 154 yards was split between two backs and 340 yards passing seemed to be a season average for RSSO QB Ryan Apin.

The almost deal-breaker for the Red Wolves was the 4 turnovers. Ryan Aplin threw 3 interceptions and suffered one fatal fumble early in the first half. Although the Red Wolves played sloppy, they snuck away with a win when they probably shouldn't have.

The Red Wolves continue Sun Belt play next week at North Texas (1-3) and look to go undefeated in the Sun Belt Conference.

    PLAYERS OF THE GAME

RSJR FB #43 Jermaine Robertson 13 carries for 111 yards with 1 TD

RSFR WR #29 Chaz Scales 9 receptions for 127 yards 1 TD

    Nevada vs Idaho

Nevada proved to be too much for Idaho in a wild shootout. Nevada posted a season high 56 points at halftime, to take a 56-26 lead. Their was over 1200 yds of total offense in the game. Backup running back was Player of the Game for Nevada with 12 car. for 152 yds and 2 Td'sHe also added 1 rec for 66 yds and a Td. Starting running back, C. Randall wasn't injured, but didn't play in the second half due to the complexity of the score. He ended the game with 12 car for 92 yds and 1 Td.

    C. Kaepernick was very effecient in the contest. He was 12-17 284yds and 4 Td's with 2int's. CB I. Frey had two int's on the day; one going for a pick 6.

The win improves The Wolfpack record to 5-0(2-0) on the season. This win should put Nevada among the top 25 teams in the country, a feat not seen in Nevada in 20 years.

    Final Score:

    Nevada- 76

    Idaho- 47

Kent State continues its winning ways, moving to 5-1 and entering a much easier portion of the schedule.

MSU really handed the game over with mistakes, turning the ball over 4 times and missing 4 FGs!

Even considering all the mistakes MSU commited, it took 2 fourth down conversions and a last minute FG in the final series for Kent State to go up 30-28.

Yep, by the 3rd FG I was just smiling...

When they lined up for the 4th FG I just expected them to miss it... and they came through.

By the way, this game is actually week7. Posted in wrong thread.
