Jags lose. Couldn't stop his running game. Jones had nearly 400 all purpose yards. Nice win Texans.

Wow what a good game. Coach Dunn came in to the game still looking for that nice signature win and he finally got one. The momentum in this game swung every 2 minutes..

Jax starts with the ball and goes right down the field like a hot knife through butter finding Steve Smith for an easy TD 7-0 Jags. The Texans would answer themselves on a quick drive mixing run and pass ending with a pass from 15 yards out to of all people their FB V Leach for a TD 7-7. Jags would answer but were forced to settle for a FG on the next drive from 40 yards out 10-7 Jax. QB John Parker Wilson would answer himself with some shorter throws and some nice runs from Felix Jones the result was 4 yd TD run from Ray Rice 14-10 Texans midway through the second. Just when everyone settled back in their seats from the restroom BANG Maurice Jones-Drew gone 75 yards breaking 3 tackles to the house 17-14 Jax.

The Texans get the ball looking to run a time consuming drive and close out the half with points but after a big sack of Wilson Felix Jones was stopped short of a 1st down at the Jax 39 and after some thought coach Dunn sent out the punter. Just under 3 minutes in the half the Jags went on a nice drive taking time and ripping off yards inside the the Texans 5 yard line. Somehow some way the Texans goal line D really stood tall and held Jax to another FG this one from 20 yds out. The score was 20-14 at the half but you could feel it was a big stop to hold the Jags offense to a FG there.

Second half kicked off and Houston drives right down the field JP Wilson finding Andre Johnson and TE James Casey that and some nice Felix Jones running ending in a 4yd plunge for Jones for a TD 21-20 Texans. On a side not WR Andre Johnson was hurt on this drive and with the way the Houston has been banged up all year the medical staff and coaches felt this may be another huge loss. The animal Dre however returned on the next series.

Jacksonville got the ball back and went to the air getting across mid field but when a 3rd down fade to the corner to WR Tull was knocked away they again had to send the FG unit on the field. The Texans were happy with this since it was from 58 yds away, did not matter at all Price nailed it with some room to spare 23-21 Jax late 3rd qtr I believe.

The Texans drove the ball again however after a nice opened field hit Felix Jones limped off the field and the air went out of the crowd a little bit. However as the 4th began Ray Rice had a couple tough runs and Felix would return. Houston drove inside the 5 yards line running the ball tough. On 3rd and goal from the 6 and with 4 WR's in the game the ran the ball in "really I was just playing for the FG there" Coach Dunn said "the TD there was huge just wanted the lead. 28-23 was the score home town Houston had the lead.

The Jags of course drove right down the field also. Connecting on a huge 3rd and 8 on a slant to Steve Smith. This time ending in on a 3rd and goal run from back up RB Jennings from 2 yds out. The Jags went for 2 and did not pick it up, 29-28 Jax around 5 minutes left.

Texans get the ball back looking to run clock and walk away with a FG for the win. Apparently JP Wilson and Felix Jones had other ideas. On the first play of the series Jax brought some LB's and Felix Jones snuck out of the backfield on a circle route caught it in stride and took it to the house 73 yards. Jones would then punch in a 2pt conversion making it 36-29 Texans with 4+ left to play. The Texan D really stepped up on the next series DE Connor Barwin who was in the backfield a lot would get a tackle for a loss and a sack inside the 5. After a missed 3rd and long Houston got the ball back with about 3:40 left to play. The Texans ran a couple quick passes to pick up first downs and then Felix Jones did the rest. The Texans ran out the clock and held on for the victory in a must win 36-29. Great Game Dunlap look forward to the next one.

Player of the game Felix Jones 18 carries for 177 yds and 2 TD's also 3 catches for 103 yards and 1 TD
John Parker Wilson for the second straight game no TO's and efficient 17-23-270 yds and 2 TD's.
Also Connor Barwin 3 tackles for a loss and 1 sack Texans had 4 team sacks.

For the Jags Brees 17-28-231-1 TD. Jones-Drew 13-121 1 TD and Steve Smith 6-119 and 1 TD.
