This game was dominated early on by Centarius Donald running the ball for the Warhawks. He finishes the game with 209 yards on 16 carries with 2 TDs. He was beneched at the half as ULM had a 31-0 lead and didn't want to risk injury. Staring QB Mike Bryan wen 4-8 with 75 yards and a TD. Brandon Ruledge went 0-1.
If Donald dominated early, then the defense dominated the rest of the game giving up only 310 yards of total offense and forcing 7 turnovers, 6 being picks, 2 by freshman Kevin Alvarez.
Utah State beats UAB 38-28. I'll do a recap tomorrow
I hate my team...crappy year for the Blazers thus far. I've to be -10 in turnovers by now.
Wow dude, just wow. 59-57 Army on a FG that inches past with 7 seconds left. Kent state scores 27 4th quarter points. More to come after my heart rate gets back into a healthy range.
Army Blows 19 Point Lead in 4th and Wins in Closing Seconds
Two Beast from the east squared off tonight and the game didn't disappoint! We will fast forward to halftime where Army had a hard fought 19-14 lead. Both teams were playing well and there was still some sort of a semblance of Defense before halftime arrived. Afterwards though we saw both teams offenses explode. Army put up 38 points in the second half and Kent State put up 41 (27 in the 4th quarter!). Army thought they might coast to an easy victory and their defense got lax after Brady Earnhardt got loose for a 78 yard TD run with only 4:05 left to play stretching the lead to 54-35 in Army's favor. Kent state didn't lay down though and scored within a minute on a TD pass from McCloud to Weeks. Kent State then went for the onside and recovered it after their touchdown and this is when both coaches felt this game might really go the distance. After scoring on that drive in only 30 seconds Kent elected to go for 2 and had their man in the endzone. The comeback route brought the receiver back out of the endzone however and the Army DB brought him down and nullifying the 2pt conversion. Army in a bad coaching move tried to catch KentSt off guard and hit the deep ball on the first play of their ensuing possession but Brunetti was sacked for a big loss. To try and convert the 1st Army was forced to pass on the next two downs unable to chew clock and getting sacked again Army was forced to punt inside their own 15.
Kent State drove the field and was on the 1 yard line knocking after a huge pass play. Army called a TO to conserve some clock because they knew they would need it. Kent States Oscar Robinson punched it in from the 1 with 30 seconds left and the Army Crowd, Coach, and team stunned.
Army started from about their own 25 after the ensuing kickoff though and looked to get the ball into FG range. Brunetti quickly hit two deep pass plays getting the ball in range for a 41 yard field goal. Army panicked and burned their last timeout with 11 seconds left and on the edge of their kickers range. Fontenot the kicker came out and coach Qwon could sense the kickers nervousness and called a TO to ice him. Fontenot came back out though and gave it all the leg he had and INCHED it over the goal post setting the crowd and team into a frenzy.
Army had already given away a 20+ point lead though so there was no celebrating left until the final horn sounded. Army squibbed and Kent State was brought down around their 35 or 40. With 3 Seconds left McCloud heaved one last prayer that came down to a cloud of players on the 10 but was tipped around and eventually hit the turf. Army came back to win after blowing a 54-35 4th quarter lead.
Stat leaders were as follows:
Army B. Brunetti 20-28 396YDS 2TD 0INT
Kent C. McCloud 28-45 513YDS 3TD 2INT
Army B. Earnhardt 15 for 158YDS 2TD
Kent R. Holloman 10 for 91YDS 4TD
Army G. Bacon 4 for 134 1TD
Kent B Page 4 for 109 0TD

Bowling Green, Kentucky - In a battle between two ranked CUSA teams, it was the emerging Idaho Vandals that brought home the victory. After a decent opening drive, the Vandals failed to convert on 3rd and 1 and were forced to settle for a 37 yard field goal. What looked like a promising start for the Vandals quickly took a turn for the worse, as the kick boinked off the crossbar, and on the very next play Western Kentucky busted a stretch play for an 80 yard touchdown. It was the second year in a row that Western Kentucky has scored on their first play from scrimmage. This year, however, the Vandals would recover.
The game stayed close and neither team led by more than one touchdown until the Vandals got a critical interception late in the 3rd quarter, and were able to push their lead to 14. From there, they were able to keep the Hilltoppers at a safe distance.
Senior sensation Bryan Sixmore finished the game with 5 touchdowns and 0 interceptions en route to his 365 yard performance. The game pushed his season totals to a nation's best 19 touchdown passes and just 2 interceptions.
The fans at WKU Pisshole stadium were witness to a real treat, as both teams had several big plays. The difference, however, was the turnovers. J.J. Lumpkin threw three balls to the wrong team, and the Vandals played turnover free, if not mistake free. The Vandals move to 6-0 (4-0) and face Western Michigan in a battle of undefeateds next week.

Utah State Ends Losing Skid With 38-28 Win Over UAB
The Utah State Aggies ended a 3 game losing streak in which they lost each game by just 7 points or less. The Aggies were able to bounce back and pick up their first conference win over the UAB Blazers 38-28.
UAB got on the board first, capping a drive with Dan Andrew's 6 yard TD run. Utah State would respond with their own long drive, capped by Adrian Sapp's 15 yard TD pass to Joseph Jones. On the ensuing UAB drive, Utah State linebacker Timi Robinson sacked UAB's Sanders, forcing a fumble to give the ball right back to Utah State. On the following play, Sapp found Joseph again for a 41 yard TD pass to take a 14-7 lead.
UAB moved the ball the ball into Aggie territory early in the second, but Aggie lineback Timi Robinson would strike again, forcing his 2nd fumble of the game, which was scooped up by fellow linebacker Chad Barber and taken for 74 yards to the endzone to score 21 unanswered points and take a 21-7 lead. UAB answered as Sanders connected to TE Roy Sims on 3rd and 17 for a 20 yard TD pass which cut the lead to 7. Utah State responded however, as Sapp found RB Harvey Davis all alone for a 35 yard TD pass to take a 28-14 lead. UAB's Sanders would connect with WR Joseph Garrett for a 15 yard TD with 40 seconds remaining, but USU would drive all the way to the 2 yard line before settling for a field goal just before half, going in with a 31-21 lead.
Utah State scored first in the 3rd quarter, on Jeremy Freeman's 6 yard TD run. The 31-14 lead would be too much for the Blazers to recover from. UAB would however score one last TD to finish the game 38-28 in favor of the Aggies. Linebacker Timi Robinson was named player of the game, after forcing 2 crucial fumbles and having 2 sacks. QB Adrian Sapp finished 14-20 for 273 yards and 3 TDs.
Utah State takes on UL Monroe next week. Both teams enter the game 4-3.
