Look at the bright side. With Nik getting so much talent, maybe he won't have to be such a cheesedick.

    from last week:

    WKU-55
    MTSU-14

I put up a half-a-hundred on 'em by halftime (45-0) and rolled out the 2nd string for the 2nd half. That's how you do it boys. No need to win 70-14. I ran the ball with my backups for the entire second half and they scored a few garbage TDs in the 4th.

They've risen a few times only to fall again from neglect. They actually won the first conference championship

    Utah State defeats UAB 21-10

UAB opened the game on a 10 play 4 minute drive in which they had to settle for a field goal inside the 10 yard line. It would be the Blazers' only lead of the game. Utah State answered with a similar drive; this one capped off by a 27 yard TD to take a 7-3 lead. Utah State held UAB to a 3 n out, and scored again on the following drive in the 2nd quarter. The remaining 6:26 of the half went scoreless, with neither offense threatening until a sack ended UAB's hopes of scoring in the final seconds.

Utah State opened the 3rd quarter throwing a pick, but UAB could not capitalize as they missed a 44 yd FG. Utah State moved the ball to the 21 yard line where a WR handoff to White went to the 20 yard line where the ball was knocked out of his arms, but he continued to pick it up and walk into the end zone for a TD. UAB Starting QB Sanders got knocked out of the game, and UAB could not climb back from the 21-3 deficit. The Blazers cut the game to 21-10 with 4:50 remaining; and kicked the ball off to the Aggies. USU proceeded to convert consecutive 3rd downs untill they ran down the entire clock to end the game.

Player of the game goes to Adrian Sapp who completed 14 of 20 passes for 240 yards and 1 TD with 1 INT. Although the Aggies walk away with the win, they also lost 2 key players for the rest of the season. Starting WR/KR Kenny Hall and pre-season all-american RB Harvey Davis were both injured for 10+ weeks, with a possibility of returning for a bowl game.
