    Week 7 - Cincy 24 @ Atl 49

The Falcons hopefully made a statement in this weeks surprise victory over the Bengals.

Droweezy owns me in SEC Speed, but thanks to Michael Turner, Madden was a different story...

Telling stats for how the game went:
Time of possession: CIN 10:07 ATL 21:53
    Turnovers: CIN 5 ATL 1
Rushing yards: CIN 22 ATL 159

    First quarter
The game started off with a methodical drive by Matt Ryan and company but abruptly ended as the Bengals pressure forced a wounded duck and was picked and taken to the house with an exceptionally athletic play by the Bengals' K. Maiava.
The Falcons marched down the field on the ensuing drive capping it off with an 11 yard Turner rumble for the TD.
Quarter ended with Falcons holding the ball and driving after a Chevis Jackson INT over Ochocinco on a deep fade route.
Atlanta managed to eat up over 7 minutes in the first quarter behind Michael Turner's bruising running.

    Second Quarter
Much more exciting, as 35 points went up on the board in this quarter alone.
Justin Peele started off the quarter, scoring on a 14 yard seam route only one minute into the quarter.

Drow tied the score up with a nice 25 yard pass to B. Wims, threading the cover 3 window.

The rest of the quarter was dominated by the Falcons ground game as Michael Turner scored with 1:44 left to make it a 21-14 game.
Two quick turnovers and precision passing from Matt Ryan provided two more scores before half to make it a 35-14 game at half time. Because of these turnovers, Atlanta put up 21 points in under 2 minutes.

    2nd half
Was much slower and methodical as Michael Turner and company ate up majority of the clock and kept the Bengals off the field, scoring once more in the 3rd quarter.

    Player of the game:
    Michael Turner
23 carries 133 yards, 3 TD, 50+ yards after contact and 2 catches for 21 yards

    Great game Drow.

Next week is a big showdown in the NFC South with Who Dat Nation.

Steelers fans are loving them some Falcons right about now. Pittsburgh closes the gap in the division race.
