The Atlanta Falcons celebrated their fifth win of the season as strong performances from Matt Ryan and Michael Turner carried the “Dirty Birds” past the Dallas Cowboys.

The game started out with both teams' defenses shutting down the opposing offenses. Atlanta got on the board first after a long Turner run set up a Tony Gonzalez TD, but the Cowboys answered right back with a 72 yard Miles Austin TD. On Atlanta’s next drive the injury bug would hit both teams. Cowboy fans were treated to the first scare as DeMarcus Ware was seen being carted of the field but fans were able to exhale as D. Ware was sidelined only for the duration of the game. Then two plays later Roddy White went out with an upper arm fracture but will only be out for one week. If that wasn’t enough Matt Ryan went out on the next play but would return later in the game. Chris Redman came in at QB for the Falcons and threw an INT on his first and only pass attempt. The Cowboys capitalized and scored going up 14-7 but the Falcons scored a TD just before half to make it 14-14 heading into the locker room.

Atlanta got the ball first in the second half and looked confused by the Dallas defense going 3 and out. Atlanta’s defense showed up big in the 2nd half forcing the Cowboys to punt several times and picking Tony Romo off once. The Falcons would reel off 21 unanswered points before the Cowboys would finally put two scoring drives together to end the game.
