Vikings ride the "All-Day" Train to a 41-20 victory over the St. Louis Rams

This Week 7 matchup featured two teams that were headed in the opposite directions. Minnesota entered the contest at what may seem an unimpressive 2-3. But riding a two game win streak and a chance to get to .500 the Vikings faithful still expect to be major players come playoff time. On the other hane the St. Louis Rams are reeling. For the 2nd straight week the Rams are without their head coach Wayne Brady, whom is on a leave of absence from the team to attend to personal matters. The Rams have looked short of impressive since Coach Wayne has not been patrolling their sideline. They are riding a 2-game losing streak & hoping to get back on track this week vs the Vikings.

It did not take long for the first game changing play to take place. Rams KR Danny Amendola fumbles the games opening kickoff and Vikings CB Benny Sapp is the benefactor as he scoops up the loose ball and strolls 20-yards into the endzone. The Rams would answer back and get on the scoreboard when Josh Brown splits the uprights on a 26-yd FG.

Vikings head coach Jeremy announced during pre-game warmups that Tim Tebow had shown enough in this weeks practice to warrant another shot at the Vikings #1 QB position. 3 plays into his first drive of the game Tebow would get hit in the pocket and fumble the football. Luckily the Vikings pounced on it and they were able to avoid the turnover. Tebow & Coach Jeremy were seen in a heated conversation on the sideline immediately after the play and not long after back-up and previous starter Matt Moore grabbed a football and began warming up. The Tebow experiment may finally be over and it could be time to move on.

As the final seconds ticked off the 1st quarter clock, Vikings CB Chris Johnson jumped a flat route and intercepts the Sam Bradford pass and sprints the 30-yds for the TD.

    1st Qtr.

Sam Bradford would make up for his mistake and find WR Armanti Edwards as he got behind MLB EJ Henderson. Edwards made a beautiful over-the-shoulder catch and found paydirt 81-yds later. Vikings WR Sidney Rice would not be outdone as Rice takes on the 8-yd pass and turns it into a 73 yard TD,breaking multiple tackles in the process. The Rams would tack on another Josh Brown FG to end the first half.

The 2nd half of this game turned into the Adrian Peterson show.AP owned the 3rd quarter scoring with 2 TD runs. One of 14-yard and the other 53-yards.

    3rd Qtr.

The Vikings began to chew time off the clock in the 4th as the two headed monster of Adrian Peterson & Toby Gerhart had success running the ball vs the Rams defense. The Rams would add a late TD pass from Bradford to TE Bo Scaife but it was too little too late.

    Adrian Peterson
    21 att, 173yds,2 TDs
    2 rec, 63yds
